There is an exhibition on the musical instrument Gambus (like the lute) of the region.

Kalau tak salah ia baru dimulakan hujung tahun lepas...

If not mistaken it was just started end of last year...

Untuk melengkapkan lawatan ke Muzium Negara kita harus masuk ke bahagian terakhir dalam bangunan utama iaitu Galeri D.

To complete visit to the National Museum we must also enter the final section of the main building which is Gallery D.

Ia menumpukan pada zaman yang membawa kepada kemerdekaan Malaysia daripada tangan British tahun 1957 juga perkembangan seterusnya sehingga terbentuk negara yang dilihat hari ini.

It concentrates on the period which brought in the independence of Malaysia from the hands of the British in the year 1957 also further developments until the nation we see today is formed.

Gerakan untuk mencetuskan kesedaran yang membawa kepada anak-anak Melayu menuntut kemerdekaan pun disentuh...

Movements which opened up awareness leading to Malay sons wanting to demand for independence are thus touched upon...

Masuk Galeri C untuk era colonial atau penjajahan oleh Barat.

Pada mulanya saya keberatan untuk masuk ke sini. Fikirnya buat apa dipedulikan hal penjajahan? 

At first I felt reluctant to go in here. The thought was why should one care about colonisation?

Tetapi atas nama ilmu saya teruskan juga masuk ke dalam.

Still in the name of knowledge I went on venturing in.

Galeri ini memaparkan sejarah kerajaan-kerajaan di dunia Melayu seawal zaman Empayar Funan 2,000 tahun lalu.

This gallery shows the histories of kingdoms in the Malay world from as early as the time of the Funan Empire 2,000 years ago.

Kemudian baru penekanan diberikan kepada Kesultanan Melaka. Nampaknya Muzium Negara masih meletakkan Melaka sebagai bermula sekitar 1400 Masihi, bukan 1262 M seperti disebut melalui kajian baru yang bermula sekitar tahun 2010.

Then  only stress is given to the Sultanate of Melaka. Looks like the National Museum still places Melaka as beginning around 1400 AD, not 1262 AD as mentioned via new research which was started around the year 2010.

Paling menarik perhatian saya adalah sebuah batu nesan Sultan Mansur Syah yang ditemui di Bukit St. Paul (dahulu dipanggil Bukit Melaka). 

What attracted my attention the most is a gravestone of Sultan Mansur Syah which was found at St. Paul Hill (formerly known as Melaka Hill).

Ia ditemui sudah tercabut. Lalu tidak dapat dipastkan di manakah letak sebenar makam.

It was found uprooted. And so the actual location of the tomb could not be ascertained.

Ini pula adalah replika singgahsana istana Perak.

This in turn is the replica of the throne of the Perak palace.
