Hampir waktu Maghrib kami sampai ke kota Matang lalu singgah di masjid ini.

Close to Maghrib time (dusk prayers) we arrived at the city of Matang and stopped by at this mosque.

Namanya Masjid besar Peusangan.

It's name is Masjid besar (big mosque of) Peusangan.

Dari Panton Labu kami menuju ke Lhoksukon lalu mengambil jalan dalam ke Matangkuli. Kami mahu mencari sebuah makam yang terletak di kawasan pendalaman.

From Panton Labu we headed to Lhoksukon then took the rural road to Matangkuli, We wanted to look for tomb which is located in the inland area.

Ia dinyatakan sebagai makam Ratu Al-Aqla juga dikenali sebagai Nurul Aqla. Papan kenyataan menyebut nama sebenar beliau adalah Dannir binti Sultan al-Malik azZahir bin Raja Khan bin Raja Kedah, meninggal dunia tahun 1389 Masihi.

It is stated as the tomb of Ratu Al-Aqla also known as Nurul Aqla.  The information board says her real name is Dannir binti Sultan al-Malik azZahir bin Raja Khan bin Raja Kedah, passed away in the year 1389 AD.

Inilah kompleks makam.

This is it the tomb complex.

Terdapat banyak lagi makam dalam kawasan...

There exists more tombs within the area...

Tetapi semua makam lain tidak tertulis atau terukir apa-apa.

But there are no writings or inscriptions on the other tombs.

Makam Ratu Nurul Aqla sahaja yang terhias cantik batu-batu nesannya.

Its just the tomb of Ratu Nurul Aqla which has beautifully ornamented tombstones.

Beliau atau lebih tepat baginda pernah memerintah kerajaan Pasai.

She or more accurately her majesty once ruled the kingdom of Pasai.

Malah pada salah satu nesan dinyatakan ratu ini berkuasa ke atas Pasai dan Kedah darat dan laut...

In fact on one of the tombstones are stated that this queen had power over Pasai and Kedah land and sea...

Selesai urusan di Perlak kami menghala kembali ke arah utara. Sampai di kota Panton Labu kami singgah di masjid ini.

Once our business in Perlak was concluded we headed back to the north. Upon reaching the city of Panton Labu we stopped by at this mosque.

Namanya adalah Masjid raya Pase.

Its name is Masjid raya (main mosque of) Pase.

Keluar sedikit daripada kompleks makam Sayyid Maulana terdapat satu lagi makam yang menarik.

A bit outside from the Sayyid Maulana tomb complex lies another tomb which is interesting.

Ia dikenali sebagai makam panjang kerana kepanjangannya yang luar biasa.

It is known as makam panjang (the long tomb) due to its extraordinary length.

Pemilik makam ini dipercayai seorang ulamak dahulukala.

The owner of this tomb is believed to be a religious master of old.

Dipercayai juga beliau hidup sezaman dengan Sultan Sayyid Maulana Abdul Aziz Syah 1,200 tahun lalu.

It is also believed he lived in the same period as Sultan Sayyid Maulana Abdul Aziz Syah 1,200 years ago.

Sekitar 8 km ke pendalaman dari Masjid Zadul Muad terdapat kompleks makam Sultan Sayyid Maulana Abdul Aziz Syah. 

Around 8 km inland from the Zadul Muad mosque the lies the tomb complex of Sultan Sayyid Maulana Abdul Aziz,

Memerintah sekitar 1,200 tahun lalu baginda adalah sultan pertama kerajaan Perlak.

Ruled around 1,200 years ago his majesty was the first Sultan (Islamic monarch) of the kingdom of Perlak.

Kompleks ini dahulu terdiri daripada beberapa bangunan kayu.

This complex used to consist of a number of wooden buildings.

Sekarang ia ada beberapa bangunan moden batu.

Now it has a number of modern brick buildings.
