Kuil (Temple of) Phnom Krom

Lewat petang kami anak beranak memanjat satu bukit bernama Phnom Krom kira-kira 20 km ke selatan persekitaran Angkor Wat dan Angkor Thom.

Late in the afternoon we as a family climbed a hill called Phnom Krom around 20 km to the south of the vicinity of Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom.

Di puncak bukit itu ada satu kompleks kuil purba.

At the summit of the hill lies an ancient temple complex.

Ia dibina pada akhir abad ke- 9 Masihi iaitu semasa zaman pemerintahan Raja Yasovarman (889.-910).

It was built at  the end of the 9th century that is during the reign of King Yasovarman (889-910).

Ini adalah dua abad lebih awal daripada pembinaan Angkor Wat.

This is two centuries earlier than the building of Angkor Wat.

Dekat Banteay Kdei ada sebuah bendungan air purba bernama Sras Srang.

Near Banteay Kdei there is an ancient reservoir called Sras Srang.

Ia dikorek pada pertengahan abad ke-10 Masihi pada zaman Raja Rajendravarman II.

It was dug in the middle of 10th century AD during time of King Rajendravarman II.

Ia diubah menjadi bentuk yang kelihatan sekitar tahun 1200 oleh Raja Jayavarman VII.

It was modified to have its current look around the year 1200 by King Jayavarman VII.

Kuil (Temple of) Banteay Kdei

Continuing from Kuil (Temple of) Ta Phrom.

Ada satu lagi kuil disinggahi dalam kawasan besar persekitaran Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom.

There is one more temple visited within the big area around Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom.

Namanya kuil Banteay Kdei.

Its name is temple of Banteay Kdei.

Perjalanan diteruskan ke kuil bernama Ta Phrom.

Trip was continued by going to a temple called Ta Phrom.

Seperti di Angkor Wat kena berjalan kaki jauh daripada pintu masuk luar hingga ke dalam...

Like at Angkor Wat have to walk far from the entrance to get to the inside...

Ada satu lapis pintu dan pagar perlu dilepasi lagi untuk sampai ke bangunan utama...

There is one more layer of entrance and wall to be passed before reaching the main building...

Menariknya adalah bagaimana pokok-pokok besar tumbuh sehingga menjadi sebahagian daripada kuil.
