Tempat-tempat disinggahi di Kedah dan Perak 20-23 Februari 2022 (Places visited in Kedah and Perak 20-23rd February 2022)

 

Salam semua. Merujuk pada perjalanan ke Kedah dan Perak yang dilakukan baru ini biar dikumpulkan pautan bagi artikel-artikel berkenaan yang telah dibuat di blogspot ini. Untuk makluman perjalanan yang berlaku 20-23 Februari 2022 ini memakan jarak pemanduan 1,200 km. Banyak tempat yang dilawati melibatkan perjuangan orang Melayu melawan penjajahan dari luar.

Peace be upon you all. Referring to the trip to Kedah and Perak which was conducted recently let the links for the relevant articles which have been made in this blogspot be compiled. For information the trip which happened 20-23rd February 2022 covered a driving distance of 1,200 km. Many of the places visited involve the struggle of the Malay people against colonialism from outsiders.

Seterusnya saya membawa keluarga ke satu kawasan di luar bandar Teluk Intan di mana terdapat satu memorial.

Next I brought the family to an area outside the town of Teluk Intan where lies a memorial.

Di situ pernah berlaku gajah melanggar kereta api lebih 120 tahun lalu.

There had happened an elephant crashing on to a train more than 120 years ago.

Berdekatan tetapi di luar kompleks sejarah Pasir Salak pula terdapat makam Si Puntum.

Close but outside the Pasir Salak historical complex in turn lies the tomb of Si Puntum.

Also located close within the complex is this house.

Saya tidak pasti apakah ia rumah lama atau binaan baru yang telah menjadi buruk. Yang tahu ia agak menarik.

I am not sure if this is an old house or a new building which has become dilapidartd. What I know is it looks rather interesting.

Namun ia sebenarnya adalah satu binaan yang relatif baru tetapi sudah menjadi buruk.

Still it is actually a relatively new building but has become dilapidated.

Salam. Pergi pada hari ke-4 dan terakhir perjalanan ke Kedah dan Perak baru ini.

Peace be upon you. Going to the 4th and final day of the Kedah and Perak trip recently.

Pagi Rabu 23 Februari 2022. Saya dan keluarga telah bermalam di masjid lama Pasir Salak. Bersebelahannya terdapat tugu peringatan J.W.W. Birch. Saya pun melihat lebih dekat.

Wednesday morning 23rd February 2022. Me and family have spent the night at the old mosque of Pasir Salak. Besides it lies the J.W.W. Birch monument. So I went for a closer look.

Makam (Tomb of) Panglima Alang Ishak

Seterusnya kami ke Masjid Kota Lama Kanan di Kuala Kangsar di mana terdapat makam ini.

Next we went to Masjid (mosque of) Kota Lama Kanan di Kuala Kangsar where lies this tomb.

Ia milik seorang pahlawan Melayu yang dikenali sebagai Panglima Alang Ishak.

It belongs to a Malay warrior who was known as Panglima Alang Ishak.

Beliau mempertahankan Kota Lama Kanan ketika Inggeris menyerang orang Melayu dalam Perang Perak tahun 1875-76.

He defended Kota Lama Kanan when the English attacked the Malay people in the Perak War in the years 1875-76.

Makam (Tomb of) Seri Adika Raja Meor Yahya

Di sebelah masjid terdapat bangunan makam ini.

Besides the mosque lies this tomb building.

Di sini terletak makam pengasas masjid iaitu Meor Yahya.

He lies the tomb of the founder of the mosque which was Meor Yahya.

Beliau adalah pemegang gelaran Seri Adika Raja, salah seorang pembesar tradisional utama Perak, sekitar 80 tahun lalu.

He was holder of the title Seri Adika Raja, one of the main traditional dignitaries of Perak, around 80 years ago.
