Masjid Albukhary (The Albukhary mosque), Kuala Lumpur...

Selamat... Sudah berapa waktu saya ingin memaparkan masjid ini... Sila!

Greetings... It's been a while since I want to feature this mosque... Come!

Masjid di tengah bandaraya Kuala Lumpur ini agak baru, kalau tak salah saya belum pun sampai setahun siap dibina... Namanya Masjid Albukhary pula membuat saya tertanya-tanya, apakah ada kena-mengena dengan jutawan Melayu terkenal Syed Mokhtar Al-Bukhari?

This mosque in mid city Kuala Lumpur is quite new, if I'm not mistaken less than a year completed... The name Masjid (mosque of) Albukhary made me question, has it got anything to do with the famous Malay multi-millionaire (maybe billionaire) Syed Mokhtar Al-Bukhari?

Yang pasti masjid ini tersergam indah. Boleh kelihatan menonjol apabila lalu di Jalan Hang Tuah... Dan saya selalu juga lalu di sana apabila ingin mengambil perkhidmatan STAR-LRT di stesyen Hang Tuah... Untuk makluman, ia juga terletak di hadapan sekolah terkenal Victoria Institution ataupun VI...

What is sure the mosque stands tall and proud. It could be seen standing out when passing through Jalan Hang Tuah... And I often pass there when taking the STAR-LRT (light railway transit) service at the Hang Tuah station... For information, it is also located in front of the famous school Victoria Institution or VI...

Apapun, baru minggu lepas saya pertama kali masuk ke dalam...

Whatever, it is only last week that I first went in...

Terperanjat juga saya apabila melihat dalamnya tidak sebesar yang disangka...

I was surprised to find out the inside is not as big as I thought...

Saya melihat lagi sekeliling. Ternyata sekadar inilah besar ruangan bersolat di dalam. Bukanlah terlalu kecil, ia memang cukup ruang untuk jemaah yang besar termasuk untuk bersolat Jumaat. Cuma saya rasa tak padan bila dibandingkan dengan saiz masjid yang kelihatan daripada luar...

I looked around. It is clear there's only so much space for praying inside. Not that it is so small, there's enough room for a major congregation like that for the Jumaat congregational prayers. It's just that I don't feel it matched the size of the moque as seen from outside...

Sebelum itu, saya cuma pernah sekali memasuki masjid ini. Itupun sekadar di sayap kiri pada satu malam tahun lepas...

Before that, I have only been once inside the mosque. Even then, only at the left-wing and at night sometime last year...

Ketika itulah saya dapat tahu wujud sebuah makam di masjid ini...

That was when I found out there's a tomb here...

Nama yang tertera di sini ialah Sayid Lal Shah Al-Bukhari. Sejak itu saya terasa patut mengenengahkan masjid ini di blogspot saya suatu hari nanti... Sekarang selesailah ia... Sekian! :]

The name inscribed is Sayid Lal Shah Al-Bukhari. Since then I feel I must feature this mosque in my blogspot one day... Now it is done... That's all! :]
