Right in front of the Meuh tombs complex one could see this tomb building...

It's position looks rather outstanding and unique on its own...
But there's something that felt amiss about it...

The words inscribed said this is the tomb of Sultan Iskandar Muda Mahkota Alam (ruled 1607-1636), said to be the foremost king in the history of Aceh. But yet its aura felt rather subdued while the tomb itself looks odd to me. Why is this?

I looked at the tombstones more closely and started to rub and feel my way around it. Ah... these are just replicas of tombstones! I know how does a true and genuine Aceh tombstone feels like as it is usually a chunk of natural rock scuplted and engraved beautifully to detail with Quranic verses or Sufi poems. While sorry ya! These tombstones felt like cheap concrete or cement works with the verses on it simply painted to the concrete slabs. Why is this? Why is the tomb and tombstones of a major king made this way, my heart kept on asking?

The stone slab with its information is also not clear. What is this? Then later I heard the story that the original tomb of Sultan Iskandar Muda here was digged out by the enemies of the Aceh people, the colonialists Dutch. And so it is said that his majesty's bones and such were thrown out into the sea.
Maybe this is true and very logical. But I do believe that a major king like Sultan Iskandar Muda who tirelessly fought to bring dignity to Islam while blocking all efforts by the Western colonialists to turn the inhabitants of the Malay world into infidels, a man whom to me is of saintly status would not be treated this way as there is Allah's protection for him. It should be as in the case of the tomb of Habib Nuh in Singapura and many tombs of saints, that it could never be digged out nor removed by anyone. In fact it cannot be disturbed as there would be unexpected obstacles including in the form of supernatural occurences which would foil any sort of attempt which is clearly shown to be disrespect for the big personality which lies inside a certain tomb.
Sekian, selamat malam! :]
Except this is not the real tomb of Sultan Iskandar Muda... that is his majesty was never buried here in the first place but actually the remains of another man was put here in place? With that I end the series of story-telling made for tonight. For information this is the 249th article in this blogspot. For more information regarding the materials presented in the last few articles here, readers can look at the website http://www.virtualaceh.com/aceh_museum.php. That's it, good night! :]
