Ini adalah kompleks makam Teungku Chik di Tiro, monumen bagi seseorang yang dinyatakan di sini sebagai salah seorang pahlawan nasional Indonesia.

This is the Teungku Chik di Tiro tomb complex, monument to a man mentioned here as one of the national heroes of Indonesia.


Semasa hidupnya, ulamak besar ini giat menentang penjajah Belanda, selepas mereka mengisytiharkan perang terhadap Aceh dan mula menceroboh secara terang tahun 1873.

While he was still alive, this religious master was very active in fighting against the colonialist Dutch, after they declared war on Aceh and started to make clear invasions in the year 1873.


Sultan terakhir Aceh, Sultan Muhammad Daud menaiki takhta tahun 1874 ketika masih kanak-kanak lagi, menggantikan Sultan sebelumnya yang meninggal dunia ketika berjuang dari dalam hutan. Ketika itu Teungku Chik di Tiro berumur hampir 40 tahun. Beliau banyak membantu Sultan dan menjadi antara orang paling gigih menyambung dan mengetuai perlawanan...

The last Sultan of Aceh, Sultan Muhammad Daud ascended the throne in 1874 while still a young boy, to replace the previous Sultan who passed away while resisting from inside the jungles.
