Makam Teuku Langsa (Tombs of the Teuku of Langsa)

Disambung dari Menara hadapan Masjid Raya Langsa (The tower in front the main mosque of Langsa)...
Continued from Menara hadapan Masjid Raya Langsa (The tower in front the main mosque of Langsa)...

Besides another mosque in Langsa, a smaller mosque there exist a burial area which stands out...

Saya difahamkan ia milik ahli keluarga pemerintah tradisional Langsa...

I am made to understand it belongs to the family of the traditional rulers of Langsa...

Aceh in the old times used a system of administration where the districts inside in were ruled by leaders which ranked as local kings.

Sekian.
They and their family members used the title Teuku in front of their names. Its function is almost the same as the title Tengku in Malaysia while in Aceh, the title Teungku which sounded the same as Tengku is used by religious persons who lead the community. That's all.
