Mini Malaysia, Melaka

OK.
OK. The last two article here "Istana Kuning" ("The yellow palace"), Melaka... and Rumah tradisional (Traditional house of) Melaka, Kampung Duyung were made based on my latest visit to Melaka last weekend. After going to the houses, I went to Taman Mini Malaysia or simply Mini Malaysia.
This place was opened more than 20 years ago. Inside are replicas of traditional houses from the 13 states in Malaysia.

Sekian! :]
Besides that there are also replicas of traditionals houses from the countries of South East Asia. But I only had the time to see the replicas of the houses in Malaysia. Later will be shown the replicas of the traditional houses one by one... just look at this blogspot from time to time. That's all! :]

Rumah tradisional (Traditional house of) Melaka, Kampung Duyung

Ini adalah sebuah lagi rumah tradisional Melaka...
Here is another Melaka traditional house...

The information board here says the house was built in the year 2001 to replace the original house which was situated in front of the small praying hall at the well of Hang Tuah, Kampung Duyung. The original site of the house has been turned into a parking area...

This house is situated just about 50 metres from its original site. Look at its colourful staircase...

Sebuah pantun Melayu terpampang di dalam rumah...
A Malay pantun (poem) hanging inside the house...

Bumbung rumah dengan nama-nama bahagian bumbung...
The roof of the house with the names of the parts of the rooftop...

Sebuah pintu di dalam...
A door inside...

Bahagian tengah rumah...
The central part of the house...

Ada tangga naik ke loteng.
There's a staircase to the attic.

Loteng...
The attic...

Ini pula dalaman sebuah bilik tidur...
This in turn is the inside of a bedroom...

Ruangan belakang rumah juga mempunyai katil walaupun ia bukan bilik tidur.
The back part of the house also has a bed although it is not a bedroom.

"Istana Kuning" ("The yellow palace"), Melaka...

OK. Mari! :]
OK. Come the time to break the ice, with something in Melaka. Come! :]

Remember the case of Raja Noorjan Shah who once shocked Malaysia when he appeared in the newspapers claiming himslef to be the sultan of Melaka? Remember that the businessman from Kuala Lumpur rented a Malay traditional house in Melaka to be made his 'palace'?

Here are pictures of the house which he called "istana kuning" (the yellow palace). The picture above showed it from the right-behind corner.

Rumah ini memang cantik...
The house is definitely beautiful...

Look at the concrete staircase in front which is an identity of the Melaka traditional house.

Sekian! :]
Too bad the 'palace' is not in use anymore. What I heard was the 'sultan' did not pay the rent anymore. Otherwise, on the yellow board right in front of the house one could see the words "Istana Kuning" with a small story about the "greatness of the sultan". That's all! :]
