Masjid (Mosque of) Kampung Semat

Di Kampung Semat yang terletak berhadapan Pulau Semat terdapat masjid lama ini...

At Kampung Semat which is situated facing the island of Pulau Semat there exist this old mosque...

Bangunan masjid yang kelihatan mungkin dibina beberapa dekad lalu tetapi saya diberitahu telah ada masjid lebih awal di tapak yang sama sejak Sultan ke 4 Perak, Sultan Tajul Ariffin memerintah dari Pulau Semat lebih 400 tahun lalu.

The mosque building seen here could have been built a number of decades ago but I was told there have existed an earlier mosque at the same site since the 4th Sultan of Perak, Sultan Tajul Ariffin ruled from Pulau Semat more than 400 years ago.

Bentuk menara yang klasik menggamit sejarah lama.
The classic shape of the tower seemed to touch on old history.


Sekarang mari masuk ke dalam bangunan utama yang kelihatan lebih baru.
Now let us go inside the main building which looks like it is much newer.
