Hari Khamis baru ini kami pergi ke satu kawasan pendalaman daerah Kuala Selangor lalu ditunjukkan makam lama ini.This recent Thursday we went to a rural area in the district of Kuala Selangor and was shown this old tomb.
Makam ini dikenali sebagai "kubur panjang", kerana jarak antara 2 batu nesan tidak kurang 9 kaki.This tomb is known as the "kubur panjang" (long grave), as the distance between its 2 tombstones is no less than 9 feet.
Menurut cerita warga tempatan pemilik makam ini ialah seorang kerabat diraja Bugis yang membawa diri ke Selangor sekitar 200 tahun lalu. Kapalnya karam di kuala Sungai Selangor sebelum ditemui masih hidup. Sebab itu beliau dikenali sebagai Tok Laut. According to a story by a local the owner of the tomb is a Bugis royal who brought himself to Selangor around 200 years ago. His ship was capsized at the estuary of the Selangor river before he was found still alive. That is why he is known as Tok Laut (the elder from the sea).

ReplyDeleteIni pertama kali saya mendengar cerita Tok Laut. Tiada lagi orang yang menceritakan asal-usul Bugis dalam diri datuk saya Anuar B. Yusuf B. Arifin B. Hamzah yang berasal dari Kampung Asam Jawa, Kuala Selangor dan berkubur di Kutan, Kelantan.
Beliau sangat suka merantau sehingga ada suatu masa anak-anak dan bekas isteri tidak tahu beliau mati atau hidup. 7 tahun terakhir hidupnya tiba-tiba beliau tergerak hati untuk ke Kelantan; turun bas distesen Jalan HAMZAH. Di stesen bas itu dahulu ada perkuburan LAMA. Sekarang stesen bas dan perkuburan tepi Jalan HAMZAH itu sudah dipindahkan dan diina Tune Hotel.
Binaan tubuh saudara sebelah Atuk saya memang tinggi-tinggi. Ada pernah ayah saya cakap pakciknya ada yang setinggi PINTU! Esok 1 Syawal 1437H. Masa kecil-kecil dulu Atuk suka juga pernah menyebut tahta Kerajaan Bugis tetapi saya masa itu itu 11 tahun dan tidak ambil pusing.
Ayah saya berteu jodoh dengan ibu saya; kelahiran Kampung Laut, Kelantan. Nenek saya berhijrah dari Kelantan ke Kuala Lumpur dengan keretapi dan membesarkan anak-anaknya 4 orang di Kampung Datuk Keramat. Beliau meninggal dunia semasa saya; cucu sulungnya 5 tahun. Kami 'terputus saudara' dengan saudara mara sebelah Tok Wan kerana ayahnya meninggal kecil dan ibunya kahwin lain dan tidak dapat menjaganya. Beliau pula 'terpaksa hidup berasingan' dengan suaminya dan membawa 4 anak ke Kuala Lumpur dan membesarkan mereka sendirian atas sebb-sebab tertentu.
