Rumah tradisional Perak di Kuala Lumpur? (Perak traditional house in Kuala Lumpur?)

At one part of Kuala Lumpur near Jalan Ipoh could be seen this house.

It is a traditional-shaped house surrounded by modern buildings.

Perhatikan rekabentuknya betul-betul.
Look at its designs closely.

What caught my attention the most is the shape like tounges coming down from the corners of the roof, a shape often seen around Perak also parts of Kedah and Pulau Pinang, hardly seen outside that perimeter what more in Kuala Lumpur.

Masjid jamek (Main mosque of) Saad bin Abi Waqqas

At another section of Jalan Gombak in turn, nearer to the centre of the city of Kuala Lumpur their exist this mosque.

Namanya Masjid jamek Saad bin Abi Waqqas.
Its name is Masjid jamek (main mosque of) Saad bin Abi Waqqas.

Mari lihat ke dalam.
Let us look inside.

Stairs from the main door bring immediately to the praying hall...

Bahagian bawah kubah.
Section under the dome.

Mihrab.
Front-most section.

Perhatikan hiasan dinding yang rumit...
Look at its intricate wall decoration...

Masjid (Mosque of) Zaid bin Haritsah

Dari Thailand kita kembali ke Kuala Lumpur...
From Thailand we return to Kuala Lumpur...

At one part of Jalan Gombak there exist this mosque...

Ia dipanggil Masjid Zaid bin Haritsah.
It is called the mosque of Zaid bin Haritsah.

Ia sebuah masjid moden dengan rekabentuk menarik.
It is a modern mosque with interesting design.

Lihat kubahnya yang unik.
Look at its unique dome.

Menara juga boleh tahan...
Its tower is also not bad...

Sekarang mari masuk ke dalam.
Now let us go inside.

Perhatikan betul-betul. Bahagian luar tidak selari dengan yang dalam.
Look closely. Its outer section is not in line with the inner one.

This is because the outer section is built to be in line with the main road while the section inside turns to an angle facing the kiblat (direction for Muslims in prayers) towards the Ka'abah.

Now we just simply look at the overall design which seems to have elements of the Alhambra building in Spain.

Kawasan bawah kubah.
The area under the dome. Take note that it is located so near to the front-most section, a feature I never saw at other mosques.
