Continued from Masjid jamek (Main mosque of) Bukit Gambir, Ledang.
After Bukit Gambir I went to the city of Melaka to visit the tomb of Panglima Pidi at Bukit Cina. From there I rushed to Bukit Serindit where lies this Christian burial ground.
In the middle of the burial ground could be seen this yellow building.
Besides it in turn you could see a tombstone wrapped in yellow.
It marks a very long tomb!
The tombs existing here are said to belong to Malay Muslims from a long bygone era.
It is understood that there is a party who claims the ones laid to rest here are the Sultans of Melaka.
For me maybe the long tomb just now (is true). But not this one as the tombstones looks like it belongs to a female what more the year inscribed is most probably 1295 Hijriah equivalent to 1870an AD, not the period of the Sultans of Melaka who have existed 400 years earlier.
Near the foot of the previous tomb are a number of tombs.
Maybe there are parties with more credibility who could explain whose tombs is it which exist at Bukit Serindit.
ReplyDeletenape en.E.taib mengasingkan parameswara dgn sultan melaka ? Parameswara tu bukan sultan ke ?
