Telaga Tujuh (The Seven Wells), Kuala Selangor

Next we went to Telaga Tujuh (the Seven Wells) which is situated at the foot of Bukit (hill of) Melawati.

Namun apabila dikira kelihatan tidak sampai tujuh telaga.

Still when counted the appears to be less than seven wells.

This information board should be able to shed some light on it. For sure there's just a few left as the others have been filled with earth.

For information these wells have existed for the use of the populace since Kuala Selangor became the centre or rule for Selangor almost 300 years ago. However since the use of water pipes in the modern age it has not been used...

Referring to the article Makam diraja (Royal mausoleum of) Selangor, Bukit Melawati which was made 9 months ago. This recent Wednesday I went to the royal mausoleum again. Outside on the side of the main building there are two tombs with black marble.

Pertama adalah yang ini.

The first is this one.

Kemudian yang ini.
Then there's this one.

What is interesting is ths tomb is marked by an Aceh gravestone. Then only did I find out this is the tomb of Panglima Hitam (literally the black warrior or general). All this I thought the previous tomb is the one belonging to him when actually it belongs to a female warrior. For information there were many warriors known as Panglima Hitam...

Bentuk lidah terjulur di tengah bandaraya Alor Setar (The hanging-tounge-like shape in the middle of Alor Setar city)

On the night I stopped by at Masjid (mosque of) Zahir and parked the car across the main road. On my out I saw something interesting on a building in front.

Makam (Tomb of) Tuan Hussin Kedah

Behind the mosque there is a burial ground. Actually its position is more to the front of the mihrab (the front-most section of the mosque), but it could be considered to be behind when seen from the door to the mosque compond.
