Seterusnya kami ke kawasan yang dikenali sebagai Kompleks Makam Engku Puteri.

Di sini terdapat makam ramai kerabat diraja Riau terutama lima nama besar, Raja Hamidah yang dikenali sebagai Engku Puteri, Raja Ahmad, Raja Ali Haji, Raja Abdullah dan permaisurinya Raja Aisyah,
Here lies the tombs of many royalty of Riau especially five big names, Raja Hamidah who is known as Engku Puteri, Raja Ahmad, Raja Ali Haji, Raja Abdullah and his queen Raja Aisyah.

The first outstanding tomb to be seen belongs to Raja Ali Haji.
He is known as a literary figure and a poet.
Nearby is located the tomb of his father Raja Ahmad.

Di sinilah terdapat makam Raja Hamidah yang merupakan adik-beradik kepada Raja Ahmad, anak-anak kepada pahlawan besar Bugis yang dikenali sebagai Raja Haji.
Here it is lies the tomb of Raja Hamidah who was a sibling to Raja Ahmad, children to the major Bugis warrior who is known as Raja Haji.
Baginda telah berkahwin dengan Sultan Mahmud Shah III yang memerintah empayar Johor-Riau-Lingga 1761-1812 lalu dikenali sebagai Engku Puteri. Sejak itu Pulau Penyengat menjadi pegangan Raja Hamidah dan kaum kerabatnya yang berbangsa Bugis.
His majesty was married to Sultan Mahmud III who ruled the Johor-Riau-Lingga empire 1761-1812 and thus known as Engku Puteri. Since then Pulau (island of) Penyengat has been a holding of Raja Hamidah and his kith and kins who are of the Bugis race.
