Dari Changkat Piatu kami ke Batu Gajah untuk melawat bangunan megah bernama Kellie's Castle.

From Changkat Piatu we went to Batu Gajah to visit the proud building called Kellie's Castle.

Ia didirikan oleh seorang pemilik ladang kaya dari Britain seabad lalu.

It was built by a rich plantation owner from Britain a century ago.

Namanya ialah William Kellie Smith.
His name is William Kellie Smith.

Berasal dari kampung bernama Kellas di Scotland beliau sampai ke Semenanjung Tanah Melayu ketika berumur 20 tahun.

Originating from a village named Kellas in Scotland he arrived at the Malay Peninsular at the age of 20.

Ketika itu tahun 1890, beliau mula menanam getah dan turut terlibat dengan perlombongan bijih timah.

At the time in 1890, he started planting rubber and was also involved in tin mining.

Kekayaan yang diraih menyebabkan beliau mampu membina rumah seperti istana.

The fortune raised made him capable of building a house like a palace.

Tetapi masalah menimpa selepas rumah ini dibina

But problems arised after this house was built.

Kellie diserang penyakit lalu mati sebelum dapat menyiapkan rumah ini sepenuhnya.

Kellie suffered a disease and died before this house could be fully completed.

Cuma sebahagian tingkat dua nampak cukup lengkap untuk didiami.

Just a part of the second floor looks complete enough to be inhabited.

Di tingkat ketiga ada bahagian terbuka yang sesuai untuk membuat majlis.

On the third floor there is a section which looks fitting for conducting events.
