Ia terletak di Peunayong tidak jauh dari hotel tempat saya menginap...

It is located at Peunayong not far from the hotel I lodged at...

Makam batu nesan Plak Pling di Banda Aceh (Tombs with Plak Pling tombstones at Banda Aceh)

Dalam perjalanan kembali ke pusat Banda Aceh saya dibawa ke satu kawasan pemakaman yang kurang terjaga.

On the way to return to the centre of Banda Aceh I was brought to a burial area which is not well-kept.

Apa yang menarik adalah kehadiran batu-batu nesan berbentuk lain dari batu-batu nesan Aceh yang pernah saya lihat.

What is interesting is the existence of tombstones which are shaped differently from Aceh tombstones I have seen.

Ia dipanggil Nesan Plak Pling.

It is called Plak Pling tombstones.

Ada yang percaya ia adalah bentuk khas batu nesan yang dibawa dari Lamuri, sebuah kerajaan lama yang pernah berpusat 40 km ke timur Banda Aceh.

There are those who believe it is a special shape of tombstone which was brought from Lamuri, an old kingdoms which once had its cente 40 km to the east of Banda Aceh.

Seterusnya saya di bawa ke tempat ini.

Next I was brought to this place.

Satu papan tanda menyebutnya sebagai Makam PoteuMeurehom. Satu lagi menyebut Kompleks Makam Raja-raja Meukota Alam.

A signboard mentions it as Makam (tomb of) PoteuMeurehom. Another mentions it as Kompleks Makam Raja-raja Meukota Alam (Tomb complex of kings of Mahkota Alam) .

PoteuMeurehom merujuk pada salah seorang raja yang dimakamkan di sini. Maka pada saya Kompleks Makam Raja-raja Meukota Alam lebih tepat.

PoteuMeurehom refers to one of the kings laid to rest here. Thus to me Tomb complex of kings of Meukota Alam is more apt.

Meukota adalah cara tulisan orang  Aceh untuk Mahkota. Mahkota Alam adalah nama sebuah kerajaan lama yang kemudian membentuk Aceh Darussalam.

Meukota is Aceh people's way of writing Mahkota (crown). Mahkota Alam is the name of an old kingdom which then formed Aceh Darussalam.

Pagi Sabtu 29 Mac 2014. Sampai masa untuk menjalankan salah satu sebab utama perjalanan dibuat, iatu mengadakan acara dipanggil HIKMAH Aceh di Muzium Aceh. Lihat artikel HIKMAH Aceh @ HIKMAH X - Acara pun bermula di blogspot Himpunan Kedaulatan Melayu Islam Akhir Zaman (HIKMAH).

Saturday morning 29th Mac 2014. Come the time to carry out one of the main reason this trip was made, that is to conduct an event called HIKMAH Aceh at the Aceh Museum. Acara diadakan di bawah bangunan yang dipanggil Rumoh Aceh.
