Seterusnya kami pergi ke Keraton (istana) Ratu Boko, ke timur kota Jogja.

Next we went to Keraton (palace of) Ratu Boko, to the east of the city of Jogja.

Ratu Boko (bermakna pemerintah Boko) adalah satu watak yang agak misteri dalam sejarah Jawa. Penulis Indonesia, KH Fahmi mendakwa baginda adalah Ratu Balqis.

Ratu Boko (which means ruler of) Boko is a mysterious figure in the history of Jawa. The Indonesia writer, KH Fahmi claimed his (or her) majesty is Ratu Balqis (known in the West as the Queen of Sheba)

Kompleks istana ini sangat luas.

The palace complex is vast.

Saya anggarkan peninggalan yang ada meliputi kawasan tidak kurang 4 kali ganda Candi Borobudur. Lihat artikel lama Candi (Temple of) Borobudur) untuk membuat perbandingan.

Kami dibawa mengikut laluan tertentu kerana Fahmi mahu membina hujah mendokong dakwaannya bahawa Ratu Boko adalah Ratu Balqis.

Hampir ke kota Jogja saya singgah di sebuah lagi tinggalan sejarah. Ia dipanggil Candi Sambisari. Saya diberitahu ia penemuan yang agak baru.

Close to the city of Jogja I stopped by at another historical remain. It is called Candi (temple of) Sambisari. I was told it is a rather new discovery.

Kawasan yang diliputi kelihatan lebih luas berbanding Candi Mendut.

The area covered looks much bigger compared to Candi Mendut.

Tetapi bangunan utamanya lebih kecil.

But its main building is smaller.

Di dalamnya tidak ada patung. 

Inside it there is no statue.

Yang ada sejenis objek yang saya tak tahu apa... 

What is available is a type of object which I have no idea what it is...

Beberapa jam kemudian sampailah masa untuk kembali ke arah Jogja. Jalan yang dilalui melepasi bangunan purba yang dipanggil Candi Mendut. Saya pun keluar kereta untuk melihat lebih dekat.

A few hours later came the time to return towards Jogja. The road taken passed by an ancient building called Candi (temple of) Mendut. I went out the car to have a closer look.

Seperti Candi Borobudur (lihat artikel lama Candi (Temple of) Borobudur) bangunannya juga masih tersergam megah.

Just like Candi Borobudur (look at the old article Candi (Temple of) Borobudur) the building still stands tall and proud.

Cuma ia tidak sebesar Borobudur...

It's just it is not as big as Borobudur...

Awal pagi Ahad kami singgah di masjid ini untuk bersolat Subuh.

Early Sunday morning we stopped by at this mosque to do the Subuh (before dawn prayers).

Namanya Masjid Baitul Muttaqin. Letaknya di Kurahan Karangrejo Borobudur.

Its name is Masjid (mosque of) Baitul Muttaqin. It is located at Kurahan Karangrejo Borobudur.
