(The place called) Beting Beras Basah

With the completion of visits to all the tombs of Sultans of Perak which exist along the Perak river there is more place left to be stepped on by a newly crowned Sultan of Perak. It is the Beting Beras Basah which is located at the mouth of the Perak river...

The Beting (which is a long sandbar) could be seen at certain times from the jetty at end of this path.

Pemandangan sepanjang laluan...
Views along the path...

Nampak tak garisan hitam dalam gambar?
Can you see the black line in the picture?

Itulah Beting Beras Basah...
That is the Beting Beras Basah...

Ia boleh kelihatan pada waktu surut. Kalau tidak ia tersorok oleh air laut. Lihat artikel Beting Beras Basah at dusk di blogspot BERPETUALANG KE ACEH.
It could be seen during low tide. If not it is hidden by the sea water. Look at the article Beting Beras Basah at dusk in the blogspot BERPETUALANG KE ACEH.

The Beting itself is almost 1 km long. The spot the Sultan must step on is on the middle section.

Zoom-in. Nampak bendera di tengah? Itulah tempatnya.
Zoom-in. See the flag in the middle? That is the spot.

The Sultan can reach it by riding a boat, usually from the small town of Bagan Datoh around 7.5 km journey.

One can try walking from this side if one wants.

But this is not recommended as the mud here is rather deep.
