Jejak pertabalan Sultan Perak (Following the steps of the coronation of the Sultan of Perak)

Salam. Hampir sebulan lalu saya telah membuat satu perjalanan ke Pulau Pinang kerana ada urusan di mahkamah sana 29 Jun. Dalam perjalanan kembali saya mengambil peluang untuk menziarahi makam-makam dan tempat yang harus dijejaki seorang Sultan Perak apabila ditabalkan, iaitu di sepanjang Sungai Perak, daripada hulu ke hilir. Saya mengambil kesempatan atas pertabalan Sultan ke-35 Perak, Sultan Nazrin Shah yang berlaku awal bulan Mei. Ini kerana semua makam dan tempat yang perlu diziarahi telah dicantikkan atau diperbaiki untuk pertabalan.

Peace be upon you all. Almost a month ago I made a trip to Pulau Pinang as there was a matter to be settled at the court there 29th June. On the way back I took the chance to visit tombs and places which must be stepped on by a Sultan of Perak upon coronation, that is along the river of Perak, from upstream to downstream. I took the opportunity upon the coronation of the 35th Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Shah which happened early May. This is because all the tombs and places which must be visited have been beautified or renovated for the coronation.

Tempoh masa terdekat ini adalah masa yang sesuai untuk mendapatkan gambar-gambar terbaik. Ini adalah sementara keadaan masih terjaga dan makam juga tempat tidak bersemak seperti pernah saya lihat banyak kali dalam lawatan-lawatan terdahulu. Ia dipanggil Panca Persada. Secara umumnya Panca Persada merujuk pada pentas khas tempat raja bersemayam selepas dimandikan menurut adat istiadat khas. Lalu ada yang dibina di istana...

Yang ini adalah khas untuk istiadat di Beting Beras Basah. Selepas menjejakkan kaki di beting, seorang Sultan Perak yang baru ditabalkan harus mandi menggunakan air daripada perigi di belakang bangunan kemudian bersemayam atas pentas.

This one is especially made for the customs at Beting Beras Basah. After stepping foot on the beting (a long sandbar out in the sea) a recently crowned Sultan of Perak must take a bath using water from the well behind the building and then sit on the platform.
