Paling terserlah di Kerisek, Patani adalah sebuah masjid lama yang sangat bersejarah.

Most outstanding at Kerisek, Patani is an old mosque which is very historical.

Menurut maklumat masjid ini dibangunkan pada tahun 1514. Sejak itu ia dianggap sebagai masjid rasmi kerajaan Patani Darussalam.

According to the information this mosque was built in the year 1514. Since then it was considered as the official mosque of the kingdom of Patani Darussalam.

Dilihat sepintas lalu ia kelihatan seperti masjid yang tak siap. Walhal memang ia dibuat sebegitu rupa...

When looked at casually it seems like a mosque which has not been completed. The actual fact is it was built to look that way...

Bagi warga Patani ia adalah satu simbol ketinggian syiar Islam yang mahu terus dikekalkan walaupun sejak lebih 200 tahun lalu wilayah mereka berada di dalam pemerintahan kerajaan Thai yang beragama Buddha.

For the people of Patani this is a symbol of the heights of the light of Islam which needs to be continuously preserved although since more than 200 years ago their province has been under the rule of the kingdom of Thai who are of Buddhist religion.
