Rupa baru masjid lama Arau (New look of the old mosque of Arau)

Salam kepada semua pada hari Jumaat yang indah ini. Kembali pada perjalanan 12-21 Januari yang meliputi sebahagian selatan Thailand.

Peace be upon you all this beautiful Friday. Returning back to the 12-21 January trip which covers parts of southern Thailand.

Kali terakhir saya berkongsi cerita tentang perjalanan tersebut di blogspot ini adalah untuk menunjukkan beberapa tempat yang dilawati di Songkhla 16 Januari 2017. Selepas itu saya pergi ke Hatyai lalu bermalam di sana. Petang seterusnya saya kembali ke Malaysia melalui Perlis lalu singgah di bandar diraja Arau. Di situ saya singgah di tanah perkuburan diraja lama ini.

The last time I shared stories on the said travel in this blogspot was to show a number of places visited in Songkhla 16th January 2017. After that I went to Hatyai and spent the night there. The following afternoon I returned to Malaysia via Perlis and stopped by at the royal town of Arau. There I visited this old royal burial ground..

Turut terletak dalam kawasan idalah sebuah masjid lama.

Also located within thw area is an old mosque.

Kali terakhir saya singgah di sini Ogos 2010 ia kelihatan seperti satu bangunan tinggal. Lihat artikel lama Masjid lama diraja Arau (The old royal mosque of Arau).

Kini ia kelihatan cantik terjaga.

Now it looks beautiful and taken care of.

Cuma ketika saya sampai pintunya berkunci lalu saya tidak dapat melihat ke dalam.

It's just that when I arrived its door was locked so I could not have a look inside.

Sekitar 500 meter dari Masjid Nurul Iman terdapat pula masjid ini.

Around 500 metres from the mosque of Nurul Iman lies in turn this mosque.

Namanya adalah Masjid Taqwa Muhammadiyah.

Its name is Masjid (Mosque of) Taqwa Muhammadiyah.

Referring to the introduction in the article Masjid Sultan Sulaiman Singgora pada siang hari (Mosque of Sultan Sulaiman Singgora during daytime).It is mentioned that I've just completed a new trip at the central part of the island of Sumatera 25th January till 1st February. Now I want to share stories on places visited there.

Perjalanan dimulakan petang Rabu 25 Januari 2017 dengan menaiki pesawat ke kota Padang di Sumatera Barat, Sampai ke hotel saya berehat sebentar sebelum keluar berjalan kaki lalu terlihat masjid ini.

The trip was started Wednesday afternoon 25th January 2017 by taking a flight to the city of Padang in West Sumatera. Upon arriving at a hotel I took a rest before going out by foot and saw this mosque,

Namanya adalah Masjid Agung Nurul Iman. Ternyata ia adalah masjid utama di Padang.

Its name is Masjid Agung (Great mosque of) Nurul Iman, It is apparent that it is the main mosque in Padang,

Seterusnya saya berjalan kaki melihat beberapa kawasan di kota Songkhla lalu sampai ke masjid utama kota.

Ia dipanggil Masjid Asasul Islam.

Di hadapan tembok terletak Muzium Nasional Songkhla.

In front of the wall lies the National Museum of Songkhla.

Sayangnya saya sampai ketika ia sedang ditutup untuk kerja-kerja renovasi.

Too bad I arrived when it was closed for renovation works.

Jadi saya cuma dapat melihat pameran di halamannya...

So I could only see the exhibition at its lawns...

From that house could be seen an old wall that is long.

Ia adalah tinggalan tembok kota Songkhla, kota yang didirikan kerajaan Siam Thailand pertengahan abad ke-19 Masihi. Setelah beberapa lama mereka menjatuhkan kerajaan asal Melayu Singgora...

It is the remains of the city wall of Songkhla, a city built by the Siam Thailand kingdom in the middle of the 19th century. After so long they have caused the downfall of the original Malay kingdom of Singgora...
