Ia adalah makam seorang pegawai tinggi kerajaan Ayuthia bernama Mahmud.
It is the tomb of a high official of the kingdom of Ayuthia named Mahmud.
Beliau datang daripada keluarga Sultan Sulaiman yang memerintah kerajaan Melayu Singgora 1642 hingga 1648.
He came from the family of Sultan Sulaiman who ruled the Malay kingdom of Singgora 1642 to 1648.
Mahmud inilah bertanggungjawab mengasas Masjid Ton Son.
It is this Mahmud who was responsible for founding of the mosque of Ton Son.
