Makam berbatu nesan Aceh (Tomb with Aceh stones at) Parit Raja Laut

Lastly that evening we were brought to see a tomb at Parit Raja Laut, 6 km to the south of Muar town.

Kelihatan ia ditanda dengan batu Aceh...
Could be seen it is marked by Aceh tombstones...

Tanah perkuburan lama (Old burial ground at) Jalan Meriam

Next we went to Jalan (street of) Meriam where lies an old burial ground.

Could be seen one tomb rather outstanding inside its area ...

I was asked to make sure is this the tomb of a renowned person by the name of Sulaiman bin Dato' Bentara Luar.

Still 2-3 days later there appeared a story in Facebook saying it is the tomb of another renowned figure who was known as Orang Kaya Junid.

Dacing Raja (Royal Scale), Muar

Journey was continued to the old police station of Muar. At a small road besides lies an old weighing machine.

Inscribed is the name of the company H. Pooley & Son from Birmingham. According to the United Kingdom national archive it was a company specialising in weighting machines 1897-1949.

Written in local history in turn Muar once possesed a type of weighting machine known as Dacing Raja (the Royal Scale). It was used to weight tin ore before being brought out through the nearby port.

Sultan Abu Bakar yang bergelar Temenggung Johor (1862-1868), Maharaja Johor (1868-1886) seterusnya Sultan Johor (1886-1895) diketahui pernah pergi ke UK. Begitu juga anakandanya Sultan Ibrahim yang bertakhta 1895-1959. Melihat pada tahun wujudnya syarikat H. Pooley besar kemungkinan Sultan Ibrahim bertanggungjawab membeli alat ini. Disebabkan ia dibeli oleh seorang raja maka dipanggil Dacing Raja.
Sultan Abu Bakar who assumed the title Temenggung (something like royal home minister), Johor (1862-1868), Maharaja (emperor) of Johor (1868-1886) and then Sultan (highest ruler) of Johor (1886-1895) is known to have gone to the UK. So did his son Sultan Ibrahim who was on the throne 1895-1959. Looking at years of existence of the company H. Pooley most probably Sultan Ibrahim was responsible for buying this machine. Because it was bought by a ruler that is why it is called the Dacing Raja.
