Salam.
Peace be upon you all. On to the 6th day of the recent East Coast trip.
Petang Khamis 23 Disember 2021.
Thursday afternoon 23rd December 2021. Me and family moved from Tok Bali to Kota Bahru via Kemumin where lies this tomb.
Lihat Makam (Tomb of) Nang Chayang.
After a visit ini 2011 I had said that it belongs to a woman of royal blood known as Nang Chayang. Also stated there is a story saying she was a queen of the Patani kingdom. Look at the article Makam (Tomb of) Nang Chayang.
Now it is clearly mentioned as tomb of Ratu Kuning Patani.
This refers to the last female ruler of Patani, after three other female rulers who were Ratu Hijau (1584-1616), Ratu Biru (1616-1624) dan Ratu Ungu (1624-1635).
Ratu Kuning dikatakan memerintah tahun1635-1649.
Ratu Kuning is said to have ruled in the years 1635-1649. The information board at this tomb in turn says she abdicated from the Patani throne in 1651 to move to the kingdom of her husband, the Raja Muda (heir apparent) of Johor.
It is said that while sailing from Patani in the north to Johor in the south of the Malay Peninsular that her majesty fell ill and passed away. Ratu Kuning then was laid to rest here. She was also known as Nang Chayang...
