Sekitar 650 meter dari masjid terdapat makam seorang ulamak besar bernama Sheikh Idris al-Marbawi.

Around 650 metres from the mosque there lies the tomb of a major religious master named Sheikh Idris al-Marbawi.

Dilahirkan tahun 1892 sebelum meninggal dunia pada tahun 1988 beliau boleh dikira sebagai seorang ulamak moden.

Born in the year 1892 before passing away in 1988 he could be counted as a modern religious master.

Beliau telah menulis banyak kitab agama.

He had written many religious treatise.

Boleh dikatakan nama Lubuk Merbau naik kerana ketokohan beliau.

Could be said that the name of Lubuk Merbau rose because of his illustriousness.
