Masjid (Mosque of) Raja Lumu

Salam. Pergi pada hari ke-6 dan terakhir perjalanan Perak. Sebenarnya masuk bahagian ini saya sudah berada di negeri Selangor, cuma belum sampai rumah sahaja.

Peace be upon you. On to the 6th and last day of the Perak trip. Actually in this section I was already in the state of Selangor, just haven't arrived home yet.

Khamis 22 September 2022. Setelah singgah di beberapa tempat di Sungai Besar membawa ke Sekinchan dan Tanjung Karang saya ke Kuala Selangor lalu singgah di masjid ini.

Thursday 22nd September 2022. After stopping at a number of places in Sungai Besar  on to Sekinchan and Tanjung Karang I went to Selangor and stopped by at this mosque.

Namanya Masjid Raja Lumu.

It's name is Masjid (mosque of) Raja Lumu.

Ia merujuk kepada Sultan Selangor pertama yang mendirikan pusat pemerintahan di Kuala Selangor.

It refers to the first Sultan (ruler) of Selangor who built his centre of rule in Kuala Selangor.

Masjid ini didirikan di atas tapak masjid terdahulu yang diruntuhkan beberapa tahun lalu. Lihat Masjid pekan (The town mosque of ) Kuala Selangor.

This mosque was erected on the site of a previous mosque which was brought down a few years ago. Look at the article Masjid pekan (The town mosque of ) Kuala Selangor.

Ia baru dibuka secara rasmi pada 9 September lalu menjadi masjid diraja ke-9 bagi negeri Selangor.

It was officially opened on 9 September and became the 9th royal mosque in the state of Selangor.

Kampung Telaga Nenas terletak di tepi Sungai Dinding. Ia memiliki masjid baru terapung.

The village of Telaga Nenas is situated besides the Dinding river. It has a new floating mosque.

Ia dikelilingi tanah perkuburan Islam.

It is surrounded by a Muslim cemetery.

Pergi ke hari ke-5 perjalanan Perak.

On to the 5th day of the Perak trip.

Pagi Rabu 21 September 2022. Saya telah bermalam di masjid ini.

Wednesday morning 21st September 2022. I have spent the night at this mosque.

Namanya Masjid Sultan Idris I, Changkat Keruing.

Its name is Masjid (Mosque of) Sultan Idris I, Changkat Keruing.

Seterusnya saya ke masjid yang dikatakan dibina oleh Ngah Ibrahim lebih 150 tahun lalu

Next I went to the mosque said to have been built by Ngah Ibrahim more than 150 years ago.

Ia diberi nama Masjid Tengku Menteri kerana itulah gelaran bagi Ngah Ibrahim sebagai seorang orang besar negeri Perak.

It was given the name Masjid (mosque of) Tengku Menteri because that was the title for Ngah Ibrahim as one of the main dignitaries of the state of Perak.

Rupanya sedikit lain berbanding dengan dalam artikel Masjid (Mosque of) Tengku Menteri yang ditulis lebih 8 tahun lalu.

Its looks is a bit different compared to what is in the article  Masjid (Mosque of) Tengku Menteri which was written 8 years ago.
