Dari Kediri kami bergerak semakin menghampiri bandar raya Surabaya lalu turun di Mojokerto di mana terdapat satu tinggalan sejarah lama yang dipanggil Kolam Segaran.

From Kediri we moved on nearer to the city of Surabaya and went down to Mojokerto where lies a remnant of olden history called the Kolam (pool of) Segaran.

Ia adalah sebuah kolam besar yang dibina semasa zaman kegemilangan kerajaan Majapahit lebih 600 tahun lalu.
It is a huge pool built during the glorious time of the kingdom of Majapahit more than 600 years ago.

Luasnya dikatakan lebih kurang 800 x 500 meter persegi.

Its size is said to be about 800 x 500 square metres.

Ada yang percaya ia dibina untuk menampung keperluan air bersih penduduk tempatan zaman itu.

There are those who believe it was built to meet local inhabitants' need for clean water at that age.

Ada pula yang percaya ia adalah tempat latihan perajurit Majapahit berenang dan berperang atas air.

There are those in turn who believe it is the place to train Majapahit soldiers in swimming and fighting on water.
