OK. Here is a rather special mosque, in relation to the tsunami which ravaged Aceh on 26th December 2004...
This is it the mosque of Rahmatullah in the coastal area of Lampuuk which is about 15 km west of Banda Aceh.
At the outside gates of the mosque there are information saying the mosque was rebuilt by a party from Turkey.

For information, the call to prayers mosque available were built after the tsunami. So what actually happened?

Let us have a look inside...
The inside section of the dome.
The women's praying section...
Besides it one could see a section damaged by the tsunami attack!
Adapun bahagian ini sengaja dibiarkan begini untuk dijadikan iktibar akan apa yang telah berlaku pada pagi 26 Disember 2004...

As it is, this section is intentionally left this way as a reminder and lesson for what has happened in the morning of 26th December 2004...
On its lower section there are put a number of pictures so that comparisons could be made...
Inilah rupa Masjid Rahmatullah selepas tsunami menyerang. Seluruh kawasan sekelilingnya jadi padang jarak padang tekukur sedangkan ia masih mampu berdiri tegap...
Selamat malam!

This is how the mosque of Rahmatullah looked like right after the tsunami attack. The whole area around it was turned to be a lifeless ravaged field but yet it managed to stay on strong...

However this closer pictures shows that it also suffer damages of some measure. How can it not, when it is situated only 400 metres from the Indian Ocean and thus was hit hard by the waves!

Now, all the damaged sections have been repaired except these parts for reminder. Good night!
