Di kaki bukit tempat Laksamana Keumala Hayati diabadikan terdapat sebuah masjid yang dinamakan sempena laksamana wanita ini iaitu Masjid Malahayati.
At the foot of the hill where Laksamana Keumala Hayati was laid to rest there exist a mosque which is named after the female admiral that is the mosque of Malahayati.

The mosque is rather simple. Maybe the name given was actually given after the surrounding area which has a harbour town known as Pelabuhan (harbour of) Malahayati. Whatever it is still related to the name of the female admiral...

Just like at a number of areas around the coastal areas of Aceh, here also exist a monument in remembrance of the tsunami which ravaged the country 26th December 2004.

On this monument is inscribed that the tsunami here reached a level of 2.5 metres...

Thank God, this is not high enough to submerge the whole mosque. For information, there were places ravaged by tsunami waves as high as 2-3 times this!

Let us go inside...

Enough that this place could be used as per its function as a mosque. That's all...
