Walaupun Seremban memiliki sebuah lagi masjid yang lebih besar, itu adalah masjid negeri sedangkan ini masjid utama bandar...

Although Seremban has another bigger mosque, that is the state mosque while this one is the main mosque for the town...

At the entrance to the tower could be seen the year the mosque was built which is 1924.

Makam (Tomb of) Tok Pelam

Oleh kerana saya belum pernah membuat apa-apa artikel tentang makam Tok Pelam di sini, biarlah gambar-gambar terbaru lawatan ke situ dijadikan artikel ke 300 di blogspot ini! Mari... :]

Ini adalah bangunan makam Tok Pelam di Kuala Terengganu...

This is the tomb of Tok Pelam in Kuala Terengganu...

Beliau adalah seorang ulamak yang berasal dari Hadramaut di Semenanjung Arab, berhijrah ke Pattani sebelum datang ke Terengganu tahun 1785 Masihi...

He is a religious master who originated from Hadramaut in the Arab peninsular, then moved to Pattani before coming to Terengganu in the year 1785 AD...

Lihat pintu makam yang terkunci. Bangunan yang dibina menandakan beliau bukan calang-calang orang!

Look at the locked tomb door. The building erected here bears a mark that he is no Tom, Dick or Harry!

Di perkarangan dalam lingkungan bangunan makam, terdapat sejumlah makam lain rasanya milik pengikut dan ahli keluarga...

In the yard within the bounds of the tomb building, there lies a number of other tombs, I think belonging to followers and family members...

Satu lagi keistimewaan bangunan ini ialah kewujudan sebuah bilik suluk di atas. Ini menunjukkan Tok Pelam juga adalah seorang guru tariqat, kemungkinan besar bertaraf wali! Lihat juga artikel Makam Tok Pelam di Kuala Terengganu... yang dibuat di blogspot Melayu CATATAN SI MERAH SILU tahun lepas.

Another special thing about this building is the existence of a solitary room for meditation above. This shows that Tok Pelam was also a tariqat (Islamic spiritual path) master, most probably of saintly status! Kota Lama (Old fort of) Duyong

Di Pulau Duyong yang terletak dalam kawasan kuala Sungai Terengganu terdapat sebuah kota lama Melayu...

At the island of Duyong which is located within the area inside the estuary of the Terengganu river lies an old Malay fort...

Apabila masuk ke Pulau Duyong untuk mencari kota ini, seseorang akan terjumpa papantanda tadi yang sebenarnya membawa ke bahagian belakang kota...

When entering the Duyong island to look for this fort, one would came across the previous-seen signboarn which actually brings one to the rear section of the fort...

Anda perlu berjalan kaki lebih kurang 100 meter lagi untuk pergi ke bahagian hadapan...

You would have to walk for about another 100 metres to get to the front section...

Di situ baru terdapat sedikit maklumat tentang kota...

There only one could find some information on the fort...

Semasa saya sampai kota ini sedang ditutup. Cukuplah ini sebagai artikel ke 299 di blogspot ini ya...

Pada malam harinya pula, dalam perjalanan kembali ke rumah saya singgah ke Masjid Al-Khalidiah di Rasa.

At night in turn, on the way back to my house I made a stop at the mosque of Al-Khalidiah in Rasa.

Saya telah diberitahu bahawa masjid ini menjadi tumpuan pengamal tariqat Naqshabandiah!

I have been told that this mosque is frequented by practioners of the tariqat (Islamic spiritual way) of Naqshabandiah!

Saya pun masuk ke dalam...
I then went inside...

Nampaknya masjid ini boleh tahan luas...

Looks like this mosque is rather spacious...

Saya sampai ketika masuk waktu Maghrib... kebetulan belum lagi bersolat. Maka saya pun menunaikan rukun Islam itu. Sekian... :]

I arrived as the period of Maghrib (early night prayers) entered... it happened that I haven't done the prayers yet. So I did this tenet of Islam. That's all... :]

Dalam perjalanan ke Tanjung Malim, Perak siang tadi saya telah melalui kawasan Hulu Bernam, Selangor lalu terlihat masjid ini...

On the way to Tanjung Malim, Perak during the day I passed through the area of Hulu Bernam, Selangor and saw this mosque...

Kali terakhir saya lalu di sini mungkin lebih setahun lalu. Seingat saya masjid ini belum wujud lagi...

The last time I passed here was maybe more than a year ago. As far as I could remember this mosque hasn't existed yet...

Rekabentuk luaran dengan batu-bata menyerupai binaan pada istana batu dan kota-kota lama membuat saya ingin melihat suasana di dalam...

Its outer design with bricks and walls replicating that as built on old stone palaces and castles made me want to enter and look at what is inside...

Ketika itu orang sedang bersolat Asar berjemaah...
At the time people were congregating for the Asar prayers...

Saya telah terlebih dahulu bersolat jamak di tempat lain kerana ingin berjalan jauh lalu cuma menikmati rekabentuk yang ada...

I have earlier done the jamak prayers elsewhere (combining the obligatory prayers as allowed under certain conditions) as I was embarking on a trip of considerable distance and thus just enjoyed the available designs...

Menara masjid. Hampir-hampir ada ciri menara istana lama di Eropah!

Berdekatan kuala Sungai Linggi terdapat sebuah bukit, Bukit Supai dengan satu binaan lama...

Close to the mouth of the river Linggi lies a hill, Bukit Supai with an olden construction available...

Pergi lebih dekat dan kelihatanlah bekas sebuah kota lama...
Look closer and one could see the remains of an old fort...

The western part of the fort bring us back to the main entrance...

Dinding kota barat menghadap ke Selat Melaka...

The western wall of the fort faces the Straits of Melaka...

Oh. Bangunan terbengkalai di bawah adalah sebahagian dari kompleks pelancongan yang dicadangkan untuk menaikkan kota yang turut dikenali sebagai Fort Supai, kota Bukit Supai tetapi nampaknya tidak menjadi. Sekian.

Oh. The abandoned building below is part of the tourism complex suggested to popularise this fort also known as Fort Supai because of the name of the hill but it seems the project did not proceed all that well. That's all.
