Masjid (mosque of) Rahmatullah, satu monumen tsunami Aceh (a tsunami monument of Aceh)

OK. Ini ada satu masjid yang agak istimewa, apabila dikaitkan dengan tsunami yang menyerang Aceh 26 Disember 2004...
OK. Here is a rather special mosque, in relation to the tsunami which ravaged Aceh on 26th December 2004...

Inilah Masjid Rahmatullah di kawasan pantai Lampuuk lebih kurang 15 km di barat Banda Aceh.
This is it the mosque of Rahmatullah in the coastal area of Lampuuk which is about 15 km west of Banda Aceh.


Pada pagar luar masjid ada maklumat memberitahu masjid ini telah diperbaiki oleh pihak dari Turki.
At the outside gates of the mosque there are information saying the mosque was rebuilt by a party from Turkey.


Untuk makluman, menara-menara azan yang ada dibina selepas tsunami. Jadi apakah yang sebenarnya berlaku?
For information, the call to prayers mosque available were built after the tsunami. So what actually happened?

Adapun bahagian ini sengaja dibiarkan begini untuk dijadikan iktibar akan apa yang telah berlaku pada pagi 26 Disember 2004...
As it is, this section is intentionally left this way as a reminder and lesson for what has happened in the morning of 26th December 2004...

Inilah rupa Masjid Rahmatullah selepas tsunami menyerang. Seluruh kawasan sekelilingnya jadi padang jarak padang tekukur sedangkan ia masih mampu berdiri tegap...
This is how the mosque of Rahmatullah looked like right after the tsunami attack. The whole area around it was turned to be a lifeless ravaged field but yet it managed to stay on strong...



Tetapi gambar lebih dekat ini menunjukkan ia juga mengalami kerosakan yang boleh tahan parah. Manakan tidak, ia terletak cuma 400 meter daripada Lautan Hindi lalu teruk dipukul ombak!
However this closer pictures shows that it also suffer damages of some measure. How can it not, when it is situated only 400 metres from the Indian Ocean and thus was hit hard by the waves!




Sekarang, semua bahagian yang rosak telah diperbaiki kecuali di sini sebagai ingatan. Selamat malam!
Now, all the damaged sections have been repaired except these parts for reminder. Good night!

Makam (tomb of) Teungku Chik di Tiro

Ini adalah kompleks makam Teungku Chik di Tiro, monumen bagi seseorang yang dinyatakan di sini sebagai salah seorang pahlawan nasional Indonesia.

This is the Teungku Chik di Tiro tomb complex, monument to a man mentioned here as one of the national heroes of Indonesia.


Semasa hidupnya, ulamak besar ini giat menentang penjajah Belanda, selepas mereka mengisytiharkan perang terhadap Aceh dan mula menceroboh secara terang tahun 1873.

While he was still alive, this religious master was very active in fighting against the colonialist Dutch, after they declared war on Aceh and started to make clear invasions in the year 1873.


Sultan terakhir Aceh, Sultan Muhammad Daud menaiki takhta tahun 1874 ketika masih kanak-kanak lagi, menggantikan Sultan sebelumnya yang meninggal dunia ketika berjuang dari dalam hutan. Ketika itu Teungku Chik di Tiro berumur hampir 40 tahun. Beliau banyak membantu Sultan dan menjadi antara orang paling gigih menyambung dan mengetuai perlawanan...

The last Sultan of Aceh, Sultan Muhammad Daud ascended the throne in 1874 while still a young boy, to replace the previous Sultan who passed away while resisting from inside the jungles. At the time Teungku Chik di Tiro was almost 40 years old. He helped the Sultan a lot and turned out to be one of the most active person to continue and lead the fight...


Teungku Chik di Tiro meninggal dunia 1891. Al-Fatihah untuk seorang ulamak dan pejuang...

Teungku Chik di Tiro passed away in 1891. Recite the Quranic verse Al-Fatihah for this religious master and fighter...

Masjid (mosque of) Indrapuri...

Dari Banda Aceh kita masuk sekitar 25 km pendalaman ke Indrapuri...

From Banda Aceh we enter some 25 km inland to Indrapuri...



Di sini terdapat sebuah masjid lama yang sudah berdiri sekurang-kurangnya 370 tahun!

Here lies an old mosque which have stood out since at least 370 years!



Malah tapaknya dengan binaan dari batu dikataan telah wujud sejak abad ke 12 Masihi lagi iaitu sekitar 900 tahun lalu!

In fact its site with foundations made from concrete is said to have existed since the 12th century AD, that is around 900 years ago!

Bumbung berbentuk piramid berlapis juga dikenali sebagai atap tumpang adalah bentuk tradisional alam Melayu.

Its roof shaped like layered pyramids also known as atap tumpang is a traditional shape of the Malay world.
