Masjid (Mosque of) Teluk Kemang, Port Dickson



Esoknya saya singgah di masjid Telok Kemang untuk solat Jumaat.
The next day I stopped by at the mosque of Telok Kemang for Friday prayers.


Masjid ini terletak di atas bukit menghadap ke pantai.
This mosque is situated on top a hill facing the beach.

I found its pulpit very interesting...


Kemudian baru saya tahu ia baru berusia setahun. Tetapi rekabentuknya dibuat berdasarkan pertukangan lama yang sudah wujud ratusan tahun. Untuk makluman ini adalah artikel ke 949 di blogspot ini.
Later only did I knew it was only one year old. But its design was made based on old workmanship which has existed for hundreds of years. For information this is the 949th article in this blogspot.









Makam Sultan pertama Melaka di Tanjung Tuan? (Tomb of first Sultan of Melaka in Tanjung Tuan?)

Kita pergi sebentar ke Tanjung Tuan berdekatan Port Dickson di mana saya menghadiri satu bengkel penulisan 18-20 April baru ini...
We went for a while to Tanjung Tuan near Port Dickson where I attended a writing workshop the recent 18-20 April...


Petang Khamis 19 April saya berjalan-jalan di Bukit Tanjung Tuan kemudian turun ke satu bahagian tersorok di mana terdapat tanah lapang ini.
Thursday evening 19th April I went around Bukit (hill of) Tanjung Tuan then went down to a hidden section where lies this cleared ground.


Saya diberitahu dahulu ada bangunan makam tetapi telah dirobohkan.
I was told that before there was a tomb building but it was torned down.


Menurut ceritanya ia adalah makam orang yang dikenali Barat sebagai Parameswara, pengasas kerajaan lama Melayu Melaka.
According to the stories this is the tomb of the person known by the West as Parameswara, founder of the old Malay Melaka kingdom.


Orang Melayu pula mengenali baginda sebagai Raja Iskandar. Mengikut kajian terbaru baginda memerintah Melaka 1262-1281 Masihi.
The Malays in turn know his majesty as Raja Iskandar. According to latest research he ruled Melaka 1262-1281 AD.



Masjid lama (Old mosque of) Pulai Chondong, Machang



Satu lagi masjid yang mahu disinggahi terletak di Pulai Chondong, Machang.
One more mosque which I'd like to visit is in Pulai Chondong, Machang.


Ini adalah kali pertama saya singgah ke sini.
This is the first time I made a visit here.


Masjid lama ini istimewa kerana menara kayunya...
This mosque is special because of its wooden tower...

Masjid Ibrahimi, Pasir Puteh di siang hari (Ibrahimi mosque, Pasir Puteh in daytime)



Tempat yang disinggahi seterusnya di Pasir Puteh adalah Masjid Ibrahimi.
The place visited next in Paser Puteh was the Ibrahimi mosque.

Count this as me repeating the process of taking the same pictures. It's just this happened during daytime... :]










Memorial (of) Tok Janggut, Pasir Puteh, Kelantan



Perjalanan kemudian membawa kami ke Pasir Puteh, Kelantan di mana terdapat tempat ini.
The journey then brought us to Pasir Puteh, Kelantan where lies this place.


Selamat datang ke Memorial Tok Janggut.
Welcome to the Memorial of Tok Janggut.


Ia dibina untuk mengenangkan anak tempatan bernama Mat Hassan tetapi lebih dikenali sebagai Tok Janggut kerana kegigihannya menentang penjajahan British. 
It was built in remembrance of a local named Mat Hassan but better known as Tok Janggut (literarily the bearded elder) for his perseverance in fighting against British colonialism. 




Tok Janggut berasal dari Pasir Puteh tetapi meninggal dunia dan dimakamkan berdekatan Kota Bahru.  Lihat artikel lama Makam (Tomb of) Tok Janggut, Kelantan.
Tok Janggut originated from Pasir Puteh but passed away and was laid to rest near Kota Bahru. Look also at the old article Makam (Tomb of) Tok Janggut, Kelantan.






Masjid Kayu (Wooden mosque of) Seberang Jerteh

Masuk hari ke 4 perjalanan ke Pantai Timur 26 Mac-4 April 2012...
Entering the 4th day of the trip to the East Coast 26 March-4 April 2012...



Khamis 29 Mac kami berada di Jerteh, Terengganu lalu singgah di masjid ini.
Thursday 29th March we were in Jerteh, Terengganu and stopped by this mosque.


Dipanggil Masjid Kayu Seberang Jerteh ia adalah masjid moden yang dibuat menggunakan ilmu pertukangan lama.
Called Masjid Kayu (wooden mosque of) Seberang Jerteh it is a modern mosque built using old knowledge of carpentry.


Dahulu di lokasi ini ada masjid batu yang lebih tua. Lihat artikel lama Masjid Seberang Jerteh baru dan lama (Mosques of Seberang Jerteh old and new).
Before at this location there is a concrete mosque which is much older. Look at the old article Masjid Seberang Jerteh baru dan lama (Mosques of Seberang Jerteh old and new).




Nampaknya masjid lama telah diruntuhkan terus setelah yang baru siap.
Looks like the old mosque has been completely demolished after the new one was completed.







Masjid baru ini dirasmikan 24 Februari 2012.
This new mosque was officiated 24th February 2012.
