Makam (Tomb of) Puteri Limau Purut

Salam malam Jumaat. Sedikit 'bingkisan' dari Perak.

Peace be upon you this Friday night (while according to Western understanding this might still be Thursday, in Islamic calendar it is already Friday as the new day starts after dusk). A bit of 'souvenir' from Perak.

Jumaat lepas saya dan keluarga telah ke Pasir Salak di negeri Perak untuk satu acara. Kami pun mengambil kesempatan pergi menziarahi makam seorang kerabat diraja yang hidup 400 tahun lalu, Beliau dikenali sebagai Puteri Limau Purut.

Last Friday me and family went to Pasir Salak in the state of Perak for an event. We then took the opportunity to visit the tomb of a royalty who lived 400 years ago. She is known as Puteri (princess of) Limau Purut.

Mengikut ceritanya kecantikan puteri ini telah menarik perhatian Raja Aceh untuk masuk meminang. Namun berlaku salah faham yang membawa Aceh untuk menyerang Perak lalu Sultan Perak yang merupakan ayahanda puteri ditawan ke sana...

According to the stories the beauty of the princess attracted the king of Aceh to send a party asking for her hand. Instead a misunderstanding happened leading to Aceh attacking Perak and thus the Sultan of Perak who is the princess' father was caught and brought there...

Dalam kawasan berpagar ini nampaknya terdapat 3 buah makam.

Inside the fenced area it seems there are 3 tombs.

Saya cenderung untuk mengatakan yang tengah adalah milik Puteri Limau Purut...

I am inclided to say that the one in the middle belongs to Puteri Limau Purut...
