Let us return to Aceh for this blogspot's 400th article. Come! :]
Di daerah Samalanga terdapat makam Tun Sri Lanang, seorang bangsawan yang amat terkenal kerana menulis buku "Sulalatus Salatin", juga dikenali sebagai "Sejarah Melayu".
In the district of Samalanga there exist the tomb of Tun Sri Lanang, a noble very famous for writing the book "Sulalatus Salatin", also known as "Sejarah Melayu" (The Malay Annals).

He was the Bendahara (something like an ancient prime minister) of Johor early 17th century but was captured and brought to Aceh along with with a number of nobles also royalties in fact the Sultan of the Johor-Riau empire himself... by Sultan Iskandar Muda who ruled Aceh 1607-1636.

Tun Sri Lanang was then raised to be a minor king ruling the district (used to be a state) of Samalanga and thus called the Ampon Sheikh of Samalanga.

It is a hereditary post inherited by his descendants here and so their tombs also exist near the tomb of Tun Sri Lanang.

A granddaughter of Tun Sri Lanang in turn married Sayyid Zainal Abidin from Aceh. A grandson of this Sayyid became the Bendahara of Johor named Tun Habib Abdul Majid of which the Bendahara's offsprings then became Sultans of Terengganu, Johor and Pahang until now. Look at these relevant old articles to know how this could happen...
