Masjid (Mosque of) Bandar diraja, Klang


Di tengah bandar Klang bersebelahan Sungai Klang terdapat masjid besar ini.
In the middle of the town of Klang besides the Klang river lies this big mosque.

Kubahnya begitu besar dan tinggi...
Its dome is rather big and high...



Menaranya juga mencakar langit.
Its tower is also skyscraping.



Selamat datang ke Masjid Bandar diraja, dinamakan sempena status bandar diraja Klang.
Welcome to the Bandar diraja (royal town) mosque, named after Klang's royal town status.

Makam (Tomb of) Raja Berayun

Dalam kawasan hutan di kaki Bukit Jugra terdapat makam-makam ini.
In the jungle area at the foot of Bukit (hill of) Jugra there exist these tombs.


Makam utama milik seseorang yang dikenali sebagai Raja Berayun.
The main tomb belongs to someone known as Raja Berayun.

Di sebelahnya pula adalah makam isteri...
Beside it in turn lies the tomb of the wife...


Menurut cerita nama sebenar Raja Berayun ialah Raja Ibrahim. Beliau adalah seorang panglima perang yang rapat dengan Sultan ke 4 Selangor Sultan Abdul Samad dan pernah memerintah Kajang.
According to the stories the real name of Raja Berayun is Raja Ibrahim. He was a warlord who was close to the 4th Sultan of Selangor Sultan Abdul Samad and used to rule Kajang.



Di sebelah ini katanya adalah makam salah seorang pengikutnya. Saya difahamkan di sekitar ini juga terdapat makam beberapa orang panglima, juga makam anakanda Raja Berayun iaitu Raja Alang. Ini adalah artikel ke 363 di sini.
It is said on this side lies the tomb of one of his followers. I was made to understand that around here also exist the tombs of a number of generals, also tomb of Raja Berayun's son which is Raja Alang. This is the 363rd article here.

Makam (Tomb of) Sultan Abdul Samad


Di Jugra, Selangor terdapat makam Sultan Abdul Samad.

At Jugra, Selangor there exist the tomb of Sultan Abdul Samad.


Baginda adalah Sultan ke 4 Selangor, memerintah 1857-1898.
His highness was the 4th Sultan of Selangor, ruled 1857-1898.




Sultan Abdul Samad bertanggungjawab memindahkan ibunegeri Selangor dari Kuala Selangor ke Jugra. Kemudian Kelang ataupun Klang dijadikan ibunegeri baru. Sultan Abdul Samad was responsible for moving the state capital of Selangor from Kuala Selangor to Jugra. Then Kelang or Klang was made the new state capital. Makam diraja (Royal mausoleum of) Selangor, Bukit Melawati

OK. Semalam baru saya tersedar tidak pernah membuat apa-apa posting tentang makam diraja Selangor di blogspot ini. Awal pagi hari ini pula terasa hendak membuatnya. Hmm...
OK. Yesterday I just realised that I haven't made any posting on the Selangor royal mausoleum in this blogspot. Instead early morning of today that I felt like doing it. Hmm...

Makam diraja ini bertempat di Bukit Melawati, Kuala Selangor. Untuk pengetahuan Kuala Selangor ialah ibunegeri awal Selangor.

This royal mausoleum is located at Bukit (hill of) Melawati, Kuala Selangor. For information Kuala Selangor is an early state capital for Selangor.


Ia menempatkan jenazah 3 orang Sultan terawal Selangor. Mereka ialah Sultan pertama, Sultan Salehuddin (secara rasmi disebut memerintah 1766-1782 tetapi ada yang kata telah ditabalkan 1743), Sultan kedua, Sultan Ibrahim (memerintah 1782-1826) dan Sultan ketiga, Sultan Muhammad (memerintah 1826-1857) .

It contains remains of 3 earliest Sultans of Selangor. They are the first Sultan, Sultan Salehuddin (officially said to have ruled 1766-1782 but said by some to have been installed in 1743), the second Sultan, Sultan Ibrahim (ruled 1782-1826) and the third Sultan, Sultan Muhammad (ruled 1826-1857).

Masjid jamek (Main mosque of) Kuala Lumpur

Assalamualaikum. Setelah beberapa lama baru saya tergerak untuk memaparkan Masjid jamek Kuala Lumpur. Mari.

Peace be upon you all. After quite a long while only am I moved to feature the main mosque of Kuala Lumpur. Come.




Masjid ini terletak di pertemuan Sungai Gombak dengan Sungai Klang, tempat yang menimbulkan nama Kuala Lumpur...

This mosque is situated at the meeting of the river Gombak and river Klang, the place that gave rise to the name Kuala Lumpur (literally the muddy river estuary)...





Maka ia terletak di pusat asal Kuala Lumpur!

Thus it is situated at the original centre of Kuala Lumpur!
