Kemudian saya pergi ke Masjid As-Syakirin yang terletak di kompleks KLCC (Kuala Lumpur City Centre).
Later I went to Masjid (mosque of) As-Syakirin which is situated at the complex of KLCC (Kuala Lumpur City Centre).

Berlatarbelakangkan bangunan-bangunan tinggi terutama Menara Berkembar Petronas, ia memiliki rekabentuk yang agak futuristik.
Set against a backdrop of tall buildings especially the Petrona Twin Towers it has a rather futuristic design.

Madrasathul Ghoutiyyah, Brickfields

Ini cerita jalan-jalan sekitar Kuala Lumpur baru ini.
This is a story on going around Kuala Lumpur recently.

Ahad lepas saya berjalan-jalan di kawasan Brickfields lalu terlihat bangunan ini.
Last Sunday I went around the area of Brickfields and saw this building.

Ia adalah surau yang dipanggil Madrasathul Ghoutiyyah.
It is a surau (small praying hall) called Madrasathul Ghoutiyyah.

Makam (Tomb of) Datuk Sempedang

Beralih pula ke Jempol, Negeri Sembilan.
Moving on in turn to Jempol, Negeri Sembilan.

Ini adalah makam seseorang yang dikenali sebagai Datuk Sempedang. Berasal dari Pasai (sekarang di dalam Aceh) beliau dipercayai telah mengetuai satu kumpulan yang berhijrah ke Jempol abad ke 13 atau 14 Masihi.
This is the tomb of someone known as Datuk Sempedang. Originating from Pasai (now in Aceh) he is believed to have led a group who migrated to Jempol in the 13th or 14th century AD.

Tanah seperti bukit kecil di belakang. Namun penduduk tempatan menyebut makam yang kelihatan tadi cuma makan tanda. Makam sebenar beliau terletak sekitar ini juga tetapi sengaja disembunyikan.
Ground like a small hill behind. Still locals say the tomb seen just now is just a marking or symbolic tomb. His actual tomb still lies around here but it is consciously hidden.

Salah satu pokok yang tumbuh atas bukit kecil. Datuk Sempedang juga dikenali sebagai Datuk Shah Pedang.
One of the trees which grew on the small hill. Datuk Sempedang is also known as Datuk Shah Pedang.

Pemandangan makam dari atas bukit kecil. Kelihatan di belakang Sungai Muar. Datuk Sempedang disebut datang melalui kuala Sungai Muar di Muar lalu melawan arus hingga ke sini.
A view of the tomb from on top the small hill. Could be seen behind Sungai (river of) Muar. Datuk Sempedang is said to have come through the estuary of the Muar river in Muar going agains the flow till here.

Batu nesan Aceh di Gemereh (Aceh tombstones in Gemereh)

Tidak jauh dari masjid terdapat makam ini.
Not far from this mosque there exist this tomb.

Saya tak tahu ia milik siapa. Saya cuma tertarik dengan bentuk batu nesannya dari jenis yang dikenali sebagai batu nesan Aceh.
I don't know who it belongs to. I was just attracted to the shape of its tombstones which is of the type known as Aceh tombstones.

Batu nesannya serupa dengan satu yang pernah saya lihat di Kuala Lumpur. Lihat artikel Makam (Tomb of) Harun Al-Rasyid, Kuala Lumpur .

Ini pula adalah masjid di Kampung Gemereh, Segamat.

Sekali pandang tidak jumpa apa-apa yang istimewa tentangnya.
One look and you can't find anything special about it.

Namun perhatikan menaranya dan kelihatan sesuatu yang agak unik.
Still look at its towers and could be seen something rather unique.

Makam (Tomb of) Busu Isim

Dari Singapura kita beralih ke Muar.
From Singapura (Singapore) we shifted to Muar.

Tengahari Isnin 2 Mei 2011, selepas bermalam di rumah ibubapa di Muar saya tergerak mengambil jalan ke Bukit Kepong lalu singgah satu tempat di mana terdapat makam ini.
Monday noon 2nd May 2011, after spending the night at the parents place in Muar I was moved to take the road to Bukit Kepong then stopped at a place where lies this tomb.

Binaannya agak terserlah membuat saya tertanya-tanya makam siapakah ini.
Its building is rather outstanding making me wonder whose tomb it is.

Terdapat juga tanah perkuburan khas di sebelah, katanya milik kaum keluarga.
There also lies a special burial ground besides, said to belong to family members.

Ah. Siapakah orang ini?
Ah. Who is this person?

Papan maklumat menyebut namanya adalah Busu Isim. Beliau meninggal dunia 1916 Masihi.
The information board says his name if Busu Isim. He passed away in 1916 AD.

Siapa pun dia, nampaknya dia adalah orang yang berpengaruh sekurang-kurangnya sekitar ini. Untuk makluman ini adalah artikel ke 606 di blogspot ini.
Whoever he is, it looks like he was a person of influence at least around here. For information this is the 606th article in this blogspot.

Masjid (Mosque of) Malabar, Singapura

Semasa berjalan-jalan di pusat bandaraya Singapura lewat malam kami terlihat masjid yang agak cantik ini.
While going around the centre of the city of Singapura (Singapore) late at night we saw this rather beautiful mosque.


Saya pun pergi lebih dekat. Ia adalah masjid orang Islam berketurunan Malabar (dari India).
I then went nearer. It is a mosque of Muslims of Malabar descent (from India).

Namun pintu pagar terkunci kerana sudah lewat malam. Cukuplah gambar-gambar ini ya...
Still its gate was locked because it was already late at night. Enough with these pictures ya...

Kami sebenarnya mahu pergi ke Masjid Ba'Alawi yang terletak di Bukit Timah.
We actually wanted to go to the mosque of Ba'Alawi which is located at Bukit Timah.

November tahun lepas saya ada ke Singapura dengan menaiki keretapi bersama isteri, anak kami dan seorang sepupu lalu tergerak untuk mencari masjid ini. Ia adalah kali pertama kami datang ke sini. Tetapi kami sampai waktu malam.
November last year I did went to Singapura (Singapore) by train along with the wife, our child and a cousin and was moved to look for this mosque. It was the first time we came here. But we arrived at night.

Lawatan itu telah diabadikan pada artikel Masjid (Mosque of) Ba'Alawi, Singapura yang dibuat bulan Disember. Sejak itu saya bertekad akan mengambil gambar waktu siang hari pula.
That trip has already been immortalised in the article Masjid (Mosque of) Ba'Alawi, Singapura made in the month of December. Since then I made a resolve to take pictures during daytime in turn.
