Makam Habib Ahmad, Pekalongan



Di belakang musholla terdapat bangunan ini.
Behind the musholla there lies this building.


Ia adalah bangunan makam seorang ulamak terkemuka yang dikenali sebagai Habib Ahmad.
It is the tomb of a prominent religious master known as Habib Ahmad.




Menurut ceritanya Habib Ahmad dilahirkan di Yaman tahun 1836 Masihi.
According to the stories Habib Ahmad was born in Yaman in the year 1836 AD.


Selepas menimba ilmu di Mekah dan Madinah beliau memilih untuk berdakwah di Pulau Jawa lalu bertapak di Pekalongan, Jawa Tengah. 
After drawing knowledge in Mecca and Medina he chose to preach in the island of Jawa and made base in Pekalongan, Central Java. 


Inilah makam Habib Ahmad. Beliau meninggal dunia 1928.
This is it the tomb of Habib Ahmad. He passed away 1928.


Di sebelah adalah makam isterinya.
Besides is the tomb of his wife.



Musholla (Small praying hall of) Al-Iman, Pekalongan




Petang Jumaat kami sampai ke bandar Pekalongan, 120 km ke barat Demak lalu singgah di musholla atau surau bernama Al-Iman.
Friday afternoon we arrived at the town of Pekalongan, 120 km to the west of Demak and stopped by at a musholla or surau (small praying hall) called Al-Iman.


Kami ke sini untuk menziarahi makam di sebelahnya.
We went here to visit a tomb besides it.

Makam Raden Fattah dan kaum keluarganya (Tomb of Raden Fattah and his family members)



Di sebelah masjid kelihatan bangunan ini.
Besides the mosque could be seen this building.


Papan maklumatnya menunjukkan arah ke makam Sultan-sultan kerajaan Demak.
Its information boards points the way to the tombs of the Sultans of the Demak kingdom.






Masuk ke dalam dan kelihatanlah banyak makam.
Enter inside and could be seen many tombs.


Yang terdapat bukan sekadar makam-makam Sultan malah kaum keluarga dan mereka yang ada kaitan.
What is available are not just the tombs of Sultans but their family members and those who are related.








Paling terserlah adalah 3 buah makam ini.
The most outstanding are these 3 tombs. 

Di kanan adalah makam Raden Fattah, pengasas kerajaan Demak.
To the right is tomb of Raden Fattah, founder of the kingdom of Demak.


Di tengah, makam Raden Pati Unus, anak Raden Fattah yang menjadi Sultan kedua Demak.
In the middle, the tomb of Raden Pati Unus, son of Raden Fattah who became the second Sultan of Demak.


Di kiri adalah makam Dewi Murthosimah, permaisuri Raden Fattah.
To the left is the tomb of Dewi Murthosimah, queen to Raden Fattah.

Masjid Agung (Great mosque of) Demak



Perjalanan seterusnya membawa kami ke Masjid Agung Demak.
The trip next brought us to Masjid Agung (great mosque of) Demak.


Setelah 20 jam berjalan terus menerus menziarahi 5 makam Wali Songo dan beberapa tempat lain baru kami berehat di sini pagi Jumaat.
After 20 hours travelling continously visiting tombs of 5 of the Wali Songo (nine saints of Jawa) and a number of other places it was here only that we rest Friday morning.


Dibina pertengahan abad ke 15 Masihi, Masjid Agung Demak disebut sebagai  antara masjid terawal di Pulau Jawa. Ia juga dikatakan masjid paling tua yang masih  berdiri bangunan asalnya di seluruh Asia Tenggara.
Built in the middle of the 15th century, Masjid Agung Demak is said to be among the oldest mosque in the island of Jawa. It is also said to be the oldest mosque which still has its original building intact in the whole of South East Asia.


Cerita rasmi menyebut ia dibina oleh Raden Fatah, Sultan pertama kerajaan Demak.
The official story says it was built by Raden Fateh, the first Sultan of the kingdom of Demak.


Namun cerita popular menyebut masjid ini disiapkan dalam satu malam oleh para Wali Songo.
But popular story says this mosque was completed in one night by the Wali Songo (nine saints of Jawa).


Empat orang Wali Songo bertanggungjawab mendirikan 4 tiang utama...
Four of the Wali Songo were responsible for erecting its four main pillars...

Makam (Tomb of) Sunan Kalijaga

Makam Wali Songo yang diziarahi seterusnya terletak di Kadilangu, Demak.
The next tomb of Wali Songo (the nine saints of Jawa) is situated in Kadilangu, Demak.






Ia adalah milik Sunan Kalijaga, Beliau dikatakan Wali Songo paling disanjungi masyarakat Jawa.
It belongs to Sunan Kalijaga. He is said to be the most highly praised (member of) Wali Songo by the Jawa community.




Ini kerana Wali Songo lain semuanya dikatakan pendatang atau keturunan dari Arab.
This is because all the other Wali Songo are said to be migrators or descended from Arab.




Tetapi Sunan Kalijaga yang nama sebenarnya adalah Raden Mas Said dikatakan anakanda kepada seorang pembesar tempatan berketurunan Jawa.
But Sunan Kalijaga whose real name is Raden Mas Said is said to be the son of a local official of Javanese descent.
