According to the stories this territory has its own rule when a ruler who originated from the areas around southern Thailand asked to rule Salor on the acceptance of the ruler who ruled Kelantan.
According to another story the first Raja (ruler of) Salor is Long Muda, none other than one of the sons of Long Yunus, founder of the modern sultanate of Kelantan.
Thus it is obvious enough that this is a territory in Kelantan which still stays under the rulers who ruled from Kota Bahru, the centre of rule for the state.
I didn't know many rulers of Salor there where. What I do know around here there are two buildings which house a number of tombs.
According to the stories Salor had hereditary rulers up to the period of Sultan Muhammad II (ruled Kelantan 1837-1886) when a certain event happened which caused the whole family of the Raja of Salor to be executed by his majesty's command.
