Dari Cyberjaya saya berjalan-jalan ke Putrajaya lalu singgah di Masjid Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin.

From Cyberjaya I went around Putrajaya and made a stop at the mosque of Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin.

Walaupun ia diberi nama sempena Yang di Pertuan Agung Malaysia sekarang, masjid ini lebih dikenali ramai sebagai "Masjid Besi".

Although it is named after the present Yang di Pertuan Agung (the rotational king of) Malaysia, this mosque is better known by many as "Masjid Besi", the "steel mosque"...

Ini kerana beribu tan besi telah digunakan untuk membentuk masjid ini...
This is because tons of steel were used to shape this mosque...

Bilik airnya kelihatan seperti apa yang terdapat di hotel-hotel besar.

Bilik wudhuknya juga kelihatan mewah.
Its room for taking abolution also looks posh.

Tetapi setakat ini saya lebih terasa seolah-olah memasuki sebuah kilang ataupun gudang, bukannya masjid...

But so far at this juncture I felt more like having stepped inside a factory or a warehouse, not a mosque...

Sampai di atas tangga baru saya sedar keindahan sebenar masjid.

Upon reaching the top of the staircase did I realised the actual beauty of the mosque.

Saya juga tersedar ada laman di tingkat ini.

I also realised there's a yard on this level.

Baru juga tersedar bahawa pintu masuk utama adalah dari arah jalan besar Putrajaya yang dipanggil Boulevard, bukan dari bawah tadi...

Then also realised the main entrance is from the direction of the big Putrajaya road called the Boulevard, not from below previously.

Dengan masuk dari arah itu baru anda dapat melihat terus keindahan masjid...

By entering from that direction only could you see straight the beauty of the mosque...

Masjid (Mosque of) Bandar Tasik Puteri

Siang Jumaat tadi saya telah berjalan kaki ke masjid berdekatan rumah di Bandar Tasik Puteri, Rawang lalu tergerak untuk mengambil gambar.

During the day Friday I walked to the mosque nearby my house in Bandar Tasik Puteri, Rawang and was moved to take pictures.

Selalunya saya tidak peduli kerana ia cuma masjid biasa berdekatan rumah. Jumaat ini pula baru saya terfikir apa salahnya jika dipaparkan di dalam blogspot ini...

Usually I do not care as it is just an normal mosque situated near the house. This Friday however a thought came to mind what's wrong in featuring it inside this blogspot...

Dari segi rekabentuk ia memang boleh tahan...
Design-wise it is not bad...

Cuma mungkin selama ini saya tidak mahu memaparkannya kerana ia memiliki rekabentuk yang turut dipakai beberapa masjid di Selangor.

Maybe all this while I did not want to feature it as its design is also used for a number of mosques in Selangor.

Misalnya, masjid utama di Country Homes Rawang 8 km dari sini berbentuk serupa.
For example, the main mosque at Country Homes Rawang 8 km from here has the same look.

Difahamkan ia adalah satu senibina untuk masjid yang baru dibina di negeri Selangor dalam tempoh 5 tahun kebelakangan gitu...

It is understood that this is a design for new mosques being built in the state of Selangor within a period of the last 5 years or so...

Dari satu segi, elok juga dipaparkan di sini sebagai rujukan untuk masjid baru Selangor.

Hujung minggu lepas saya telah berjalan-jalan di Cyberjaya lalu terlihat jejantas ini...

Last weekend I was going around in Cyberjaya when I saw this overhead bridge...

Apa yang menarik adalah bentuk-bentuk seperti lidah tergantung yang biasa terdapat pada rumah-rumah tradisional di Perak.

What is interesting are shapes like tounges hanging down which is often found at traditional houses in Perak.

Kombinasi awan larat menambah keindahan...
Combination of awan larat (a traditional motiff like intricate curved clouds) add to the beauty...

Menara jejantas juga tidak kurang indah. Perhatikan pada sudut atas menara ada bentuk seperti burung mendongak. Bandingkan dengan apa yang terdapat di Masjid Kampung Gombang, Muar. Lihat artikel lama Masjid (mosque of) Kampung Gombang, Muar.... Untuk makluman jejantas ini adalah sebahagian dari lebuhraya yang menjadi sempadan antara Cyberjaya dan Putrajaya. Sebab itu disebut Cyberjaya/Putrajaya pada tajuk...

The overhead bridges also is no less beautiful. Look at the upper corner of the tower there are shapes like birds looking up. Compare with what is available at the mosque of Kampung Gombang, Muar. Look at the old article Masjid (mosque of) Kampung Gombang, Muar.... For information this overhead bridge is part of a highway which forms a border between Cyberjaya and Putrajaya. That is why Cyberjaya/Putrajaya is mentioned in the title...

Masjid (Mosque of) Tanjung Sari

Satu lagi tempat yang dikunjungi di Perak penghujung Mei ialah Masjid Tanjung Sari di Teluk Intan.

Another place visited in Perak at the end of May is the mosque of Tanjung Sari at Teluk Intan.

Ia terletak di dalam sebuah kampung yang agak terpencil dikelilingi kebun kelapa sawit.

Seperti beberapa masjid di Perak, ia memiliki bentuk tradisi yang mudah dikenal-pasti.

Just like a number of mosque in Perak, it has a traditional shape which is easily recognised.

Perhatikan bentuk seperti lidah terjulur di sudut bumbung. Ini adalah bentuk tradisional yang biasa dilihat di Perak.

Look at the shape which is like tounges having down from the corners of the roof. This is a traditional shape often seen in Perak.

Pihak muzium menyebutnya sebagai makam Puteri Bunian...

The museum authorities mentioned this as the tomb of Puteri Bunian (literally translated as the elfin princess)...
