Peace be upon you all. On Saturday 23rd March till Tuesday 26th me and family was on a trip in the north visiting a number of places. Time to share some stories....
Salah satu tempat dilawati adalah Pulau Aman, sebuah pulau kecil 2 km ke barat tanah besar Pulau Pinang.
Among the places visited is Pulau (island of) Aman, a small island 2 km to the west of mainland Pulau Pinang.
Di satu bahagian pulau ada satu telaga yang dikenali sebagai Telaga Mas.
At one side of the island lies a well known as Telaga Mas (Golden Well).
Menurut ceritanya pada tahun 1789 seorang penduduk telah menemui mata air di tepi pantai lalu menggali lubang untuk dijadikan sebuah telaga.
According to the stories in the year 1789 an inhabitant found a water source besides a beach and dug a hole to turn it into a well.
Semasa menggali terjumpa satu objek seperti tempayan emas. Dia pun berlari untuk memberitahu orang kampung tentang penemuan itu.
While digging he found an object which looks like a pot of gold. He then ran to tell the village people of his find.
Bila kembali ke lokasi tempayan emas tidak dapat ditemui. Lubang terus digali lalu jadilah telaga seperti sekarang...
Upon returning to the location the pot of gold could not be found. But the hole was continued to be dug making the well as at present...
