Akhir sekali kami menziarahi makam Laksamana Kemalahayati lebih 30 km ke timur Banda Aceh.

Lastly we visited the tomb of Laksamana Kemalahayati more than 30 km east of Banda Aceh.

Beliau adalah laksamana perempuan terkenal Aceh penghujung abad ke-16 Masihi. Terdapat bangunan baru didirikan dalam kompleks makam.

She was a famous female laksamana (admiral) of Aceh end of the 16th century AD. There is a new building erected inside the tomb complex.

Makam terletak di atas bukit.

The tomb is situated up a hill.

Nampaknya bahagian atas ini sama sahaja seperti dahulu. Cuma warna cat sahaja diubah pada sesetengah bahagian. 

Looks like the upper section is the same as before. It is just that the colour of paint was changed for certain parts.

Ke timur Banda Aceh ada satu kawasan perumahan yang katanya dibina oleh pelakon filem aksi terkenal dari Hong Kong iaitu Jackie Chan.

To the east of Banda Aceh there is a housing area said to have been built by the famous action film movie star from Hong Kong that is Jackie Chan.

Turut dibina adalah masjid ini.

Also built were this mosque.

Perumahan dibina sebagai sebahagian daripada usaha lebih 50 buah negara membina balik Aceh selepas musnah dilanda Tsunami 26 Disember 2004.

The housing was built as part of the efforts of more than 50 nations to rebuilt Aceh after it was destroyed due to the Tsunami of 26th December 2004.

Tetapi maklumat rasmi menyatakan perumahan yang mengandungi masjid ini dibina oleh 2 persatuan yang berpengkalan di China.

But the official information says the housing which contains this mosque was built by 2 associations which are based in China.

Jam 10.48 kami singgah di Ulee Kareng untuk menikmati kopi enaknya. Kelihatan masjid ini lalu tergerak untuk mengambil gambar.

At 10.48 we stopped by at Ulee Kareng to enjoy its delicious coffee. Could be seen this mosque and so was moved to take pictures.

Pada tahun 2017 saya pernah melawatnya lalu menulis artikel bertajuk Masjid baru (New mosque of) Ulee Kareng. Ketika itu saya menyangkakan ia sudah hampir 100 peratus siap. Tetapi kali ini saya melihat ia 'lebih siap' berbanding dahulu.

In the year 2017 I have visited it and wrote and article titled Masjid baru (New mosque of) Ulee Kareng. At that time I thought it was almost 100 per cent completed. But this time I saw it 'more completed' than before.

Dan kali ini baru tahu nama masjid.

And this time only I knew the name of the mosque.

Di sebelah Muzium Aceh ada satu kawasan menempatkan sejumlah makam pemerintah Aceh daripada abad ke-18 dan kemudian serta ahli keluarga.

Besides the Museum of Aceh lies an area housing tombs of a number of Aceh rulers from the 18th century and later along with family members.

Saya sudah banyak kali menziarahinya. Baru kini diberitahu ada makam baru...

I have visited it many times. It was only this time I was told there is a new tomb...

Ia milik seorang cucu perempuan kepada Sultan terakhir Aceh, Sultan Muhammad Daud (memerintah 1875 to 1903)

It belongs to a female grandchild of the last Sultan of Aceh, Sultan Muhammad Daud (ruled 1875 to 1903).

Selepas dipaksa turun takhta tahun 1903 Sultan Muhammad Daud dibuang negeri bersama ahli keluarga ke Batavia (sekarang Jakarta) di mana baginda mangkat 1939.

After forced to abdicate in the year 1903 Sultan Muhammad Daud was exiled with family members to Batavia (now Jakarta) where he passed away in 1939.

Cucu sulung baginda, Teungku Putroe Safiatuddin dilahirkan di Aceh tahun 1934 namun duduk lama di luar sebelum kembali kemudian meninggal dunia setahun lebih lalu.

His majesty's eldest grandchild, Teungku Putroe Safiatuddin was born in Aceh in the year 1934 but stayed long outside before returning then passing away more than a year ago

From the mosque we went to the Museum of Aceh where lies these tombs.

Dipanggil makam raja-raja Aceh keturunan Bugis ia terletak di perkarangan muzium.

Called the tombs of Aceh kings of Bugis lineage it is located at the museum grounds.

Di bahagian lain muzium terdapat model-model menunjukkan Masjid Baiturrahman pada beberapa peringkat perkembangan...

At another section of the museum there are models showing Masjid (mosque of Baiturrahman) at a number of stages of development...

Begini rupanya pada tahun 1879.

Ia kemudian ditambah kubah daripada 1 menjadi 3 kemudian 5 sambil dibesarkan lagi bangunan...

It is later added with domes from 1 to become 3 then 5 while the building was enlarged...

Seingat saya dahulu tidak ada model-model masjid itu,. Kalau yang ini, sekeping kayu keras yang biasa dibuat kapal, kayu Perlak kalau tak salah memang dah lama ada.

As far as I could remember there were no mosque models before. If this one, a piece of hard wood which is usually turned into ships, Perlak wood if not mistaken has indeed long been here.

Ia terletak di bangunan kayu ini, sebuah rumah tradisional Aceh..

It is located at this wood building, an Aceh traditional house...

Di sebelah rumah ada loceng besar lama hadiahkan daripada kerajaan Cina 600 tahun lalu.

Besides the house there is an old big bell presented by the kingdom of Cina 600 years ago.

Dahulu ia terletak berdekatan pintu masuk halaman muzium. Sekarang sudah dialih ke sini.

Previously it was located close to the museum ground entrance. Now it has been moved here.

Di hadapan satu bangunan batu terdapat batu-batu nesan lama ini.

In front of a brick building lies these old tombstones.

Kalau tak salah ia diambil dari makam-makam yang sudah rosak, misalnya akibat ditenggelami air selepas Tsunami 26 Disember 2004.

If not mistaken it is taken from damaged tombs, for example those immersed in water after the Tsunami 26th December 2004.
