Gua di Bukit Treh (Cave at Bukit Treh)

The grave and rock we saw previously is located at the foot south of Bukit (hill of) Treh. To the west of the hill there lies this place.

It is a cave at the foot hill. A long time ago the cave can be entered by people.

According to the stories once upon a time people can borrow plates and bowls from the cave.

It is said that the bunian people (something like fairies) who lived there used to lend out the plates and bowls. But there were humans those who did not return it. Since then there is no more things to be lend out.

Bahagian dalam gua pula sudah tertimbus. Tinggal bukaan sempit seperti kelihatan...
The inner parts of the cave in turn has collapsed. What's left is a narrow opening as seen here...

Makam ibu Si Tanggang? (Tomb of mother to Si Tanggang?)

In front that is at the foot of Bukit (hill of) Treh in turn lies this historical remain.

This is believed by some of the local inhabitants as the grave of the mother of Si Tanggang. For information Si Tanggang is a legendary character which according to the story was cursed by his mother turning him into stone. This is because he was disloyal when he refused to acknowledge an old woman who came to meet him as his rightful biological mother.

(Tomb of a princess at Bukit Treh?).
Another story in turn says that the one who got laid to rest here is a princess who became wife to a character similar to Si Tanggang. Look at the old article Makam seorang puteri di Bukit Treh? (Tomb of a princess at Bukit Treh?).

Batu laut di Bukit Treh (Sea rock at Bukit Treh)

Sunday 2 Nov I went to Muar again and thus made a stop at Bukit (hill of) Treh. Could be seen a number of historical objects being nicely maintained. Among it is this rock.

Normally rock such as this could only be found besides a beach. On the other hand this place is located 6 km from the closest body of salt water that is the Straits of Melaka.

It is believed that once upon a time this place is located within the sea. This rock could be made a proof...

At the south-east of Kuala Lumpur that is at Taman Maluri there lies this mosque.

Ia dipanggil Masjid Ash-Shafie sempena nama Imam Shafie, salah seorang imam besar mazhab Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jamaah.
